Bought Divinity Original Sin, and played it for a couple of hours. Pretty freaking great so far, but it releases on the 30th, and the day 1 patch will make old save games incompatible.

In a game where you collect stuff, that sucks; want to play, but should wait til the 30th.

I like it. Torchlight II is more about mods than anything. Although, even those come with a bit of a warning. I know I had a bunch of gems in my account, I logged in after a few months, and my shared stash is completely empty. :\

Is Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion still actively played in multiplayer and is that worth $8?

Is it worth it if I buy the 2 Witcher games on Steam, just to transfer them to GoG for the DRM-free versions and the lower pre-order price for Witcher 3?

And a third question: Does buying Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon mean I have to use the abomination called UPlay?

2. Yes. But keep in mind my actual price in cart for Witcher 3 on Steam like 47.99 meaning I am getting 20%. Meaning Steam has the same pricing conditions for pre-order that GoG has.
3. Yes but it isnt as terrible as it could be after first launch or two.

Vote for "Sports - Racing" please... I've had my eye on Assetto Corsa for a while and 50% off sounds good to me. Unfortunately I have a feeling "Underrated - FPS" is gonna win with Rage, Bulletstorm, and Gunslinger over there... oh and Dino Horde the game that is always on sale and practically given away lately.

For Steam, summer sales are usually the weakest sales. The holiday sales just before Christmas is where the gold digging is at.

Bought Cave Story this morning. Other then that there has been nothing on Daily, flash, or community sale that I actually wanted. There are a handful of $2-5 games on my wishlist that are 50% off that I'll pick up the last day of the sale, stuff like Unepic that I figure if I play it for a few hours I've got my monies worth.

FC2... Way too many respawns. Shit, I drive to one place and come back within a few minutes and the "checkpoint" has completely respawned. I mean, I walk all over them, but still annoying.

I actually came into this thread to make a comment on that. It's kind of annoying to view the sale with the mobile client or on a mobile browser, because it's only designed to show a single community choice game at once. That's probably because community choice has only ever been a single game for every prior sale. However, this shouldn't be a terribly hard thing for them to fix because it's all HTML (even on the mobile client).

None of the short-sale stuff has interested me. I might grab both of The Witcher titles after they go on "yesterday's deals." If stuff for today is good, I might pass, as I have enough to play as it is, and I need to go load a Steam card onto my account.

+1. I finally couldn't take it anymore and simply stopped playing. After finishing FC3 I figured I would give FC2 another shot but it runs like crap on Windows 8 so it probably saved me from the same let down a second time around.

Nice! Same for me concerning the release, i'll wait for the official release to start a serious game. It's a really cool RPG with some novelties to it. I really love Divinity 2 and even though it's not that same game at all, it still feels awesome.

Can't wait to get past the starting area lol

I stared playing again and I will say with the bonus DLC items the game is a little easier.

You get immediate access to a suppressed shotgun, a double barreled shotgun sidearm, and a crossbow with exploding bolts and scope. It makes the game a lot more fun when you dont get murdered so quickly at the start.

But after two buddy missions and two story missions I realize this game is just one long, slow grind. Its like New Vegas except vastly inferior in every way.
