15% off is a pretty weak sale, but if DayZ is a game you're interested in, 15% off is as good as you're going to get for now. (Personally, I would recommend avoiding it and spending that $25 on a handful of other cheaper, higher-quality games, but that's a whole different discussion I guess).
Roger, I don't buy games that are not at least 60% off anyway.

DayZ is too weak of a game anyway (self-justification)!

Hahah. Well, my beef with DayZ right now is that it's an interesting, but extremely buggy and unfinished mod that was in development for a couple years, and then they started charging actual money for a "standalone alpha" on Steam that's somehow even buggier and more unfinished than the original. It's a giant stinky mess of a game that seems to be going backwards rather than forwards with its progress. It's gotten to the point where I can't imagine it will ever even be finished... ever. It's just in a perpetual state of development limbo.

I enjoyed playing the original mod back in early 2012 when it felt new and refreshing, but I don't think they've improved it at all since then and it blows my mind that people are so willing to fork out their cash for such an unproven, stagnant turd.

DMC is definitely worth it.

Two questions...now three.

Is Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion still actively played in multiplayer and is that worth $8?

Is it worth it if I buy the 2 Witcher games on Steam, just to transfer them to GoG for the DRM-free versions and the lower pre-order price for Witcher 3?

And a third question: Does buying Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon mean I have to use the abomination called UPlay?

Looks like the best South Park could hit is $40 - damn.

I guess it won't be until xmas that I pick it up.

On console, Gamestop is selling used copies for only $10 below MSRP for a brand spanking new one. $40 ain't bad though I may just wait for the holiday sale.

Well it depends, you save about $12 off the preorder

Yes. but it seems hit or miss, either you will be fine, I never had a problem with uplay, others seem to think is the bane of existence

In so far w/ Far Cry 2 and Witcher 2. Hoping Southpark goes below $40 though seems unlikely. Again unlikely but a nice break on Wolfenstein or Watch dogs would be sweet. My team blue Purple Reign

See, Steam and GoG and even Desura to some point has a extensive library of games, cross-platform support/ambitions, and lots of third-party content. You can say that Impulse and other stores also have this but they are losing market share.

But Origin and UPlay are both different. Their primary purpose, I would argue their sole purpose, is to push their parent company's products.

Now that is alright, Walmart does have its own Great Value brand. But it does not only stock its own brand but third-party products, which is the majority of the income.

You could say that Steam and Valve did the same thing with Half-Life 2 and you are right. But they did it a decade ago and are now the 800lb gorilla in the room. I hate DRM and I especially hate publisher DRM that is bundled inside another set of online store DRM. What is the ******* point to this?

Ok, I am done ranting. :\

So, since you have the chance to win three items from your wish list (if you don't get placed on the worst team...), is it wise to pare your wish list down to the three items that you really want? For example, I'd rather get three items that are worth more than some cheap games that are on sale for $5 right now.

I thought it was good, but I only played an hour or two.

The first part is heavily scripted, then the world starts to open up.

Keep playing.
It gets worse.

I bought FC2 even though I remember it sucking ass when I last played it. Started a new game, it still sucks ass.
