loving this powertrain, great synergies with upcoming F1 engines.

edit: longitudinally mounted twin turbo v6 + 3 electric motors.

It looks too sterile. It just doesn't seem to stir any passion and the front end just looks like a big squinty-eyed grin. Yeah, kind of like the Joker grin FuzzyD posted.

It looks like R8 which isn't a bad thing but the rims are ugly and looks too big for the car. What's the expected MSRP on this thing? Can us mere mortals afford this car like the original NSX?

The original NSX wasn't exactly cheap. I imagine this is going to be in that same realm. Competing in price somewhere between the GT-R and the 911 Turbo would be a good guess. Not exactly for mere mortals, but not something only the super rich can get either.

I am not a huge fan of the rims, but the car itself is great looking.

Been a long time since Honda had anything sporty. This won't be affordable though. Wish they'd bring the S2000 back. Lost a lot of great sporty Japanese cars over the last decade. Still waiting for the next RX8.

Believe the new Mazda CEO said they won't bring back the rotary unless they could guarantee selling 100,000 of them..

No me gusta.. what happened to authentic and simple Honda? I loved how the previous generation was simple yet great. A simple V6 achieving the ability to competitively battle Porsche's awesome flat motors. Even looking at the styling, Honda used to be original and great. I guess the generation of great gas engines is dying, which might not be a bad thing... Honda's new Accord Hybrid is pretty excellent technology.

I don't want to like it but I like it. This is just the direction cars are going in these days... guess I'll accept it.

Likely running a detuned version of Honda's new Formula 1 engine.

While I'm not big on the electric motors, these electric motors are going to be absolutely bitchin' going into, around, and exiting corners.

Its not hideous or even bad looking by any means really, but looks a bit unfinished and doesn't really reach out and grab you. Then again the original NSX didn't either (it too was a few stylistic tweaks from being pretty good; and likewise far from hideous just not anything especially great, I am bummed that they didn't go for a sweet glass canopy or styling cues to show its lineage, with a full width taillight perked up for a spoiler being easy to mimick). And yeah those wheels are crazy ugly.

Drivetrain and performance we'll see (especially for the price). I really doubt its a detuned version of the F1 engine.

Of course, the original was more of a driver's car and about how it felt handling than performance numbers, but its got a lot tougher competition. I'm going to face palm if it can't even match the C7's fuel economy though. I don't care if it can drive 20 miles just on electric power that's still pathetic.

Oh and of course, doesn't Made in Ohio just exude class and an air of the world's finest? (yes I know that doesn't really mean anything)

The amount of engineering and development that went in to these is astounding. I know someone who worked in the development and they have been going for at least 5 years on this. They have multiple super cars (R8, 458, etc) to drive and test to get a feel for how a super car should behave. I think this will be leaps and bounds above the old NSX. Thanks for this by the way, you obviously don't know anyone building these. They are being built in a separate part of the factory and people have been hand selected to do so. They are very excited to build these, so yes, being made in Ohio does actually mean something.

Honda's goal for this NSX 2.0 is 458 performance at 911 prices, which can vary of course but Honda is planning on different versions.

I know the thought of a detuned Formula 1 engine in this thing is far fetched but the NSX and the F1 engine are both coming out at the same time, both are longitude twin turbo V6 engines. To think something didn't carry over or share similarities if not a downright detuned version in the NSX is somewhat naive considering if Honda did such, they'd save money on R&D in doing so. Any company wants to save money.

I'm not worried about it being assembled in the USA. You have to have many years under your belt before Honda will even let you touch these. And they built a new building just for this thing.

Acura reminds me of autobot. The NSX is following the similar trend as Acura. Sad.

At least it looks better than the preliminary drawings / concepts for NSX a few years ago.

That silver inset piece is hideous. Just like those other Acura family cars.

The lights look stupid but we will see as it becomes finalized. It could improve a lot. Same with the wheels- concepts always have wacky wheels.

Not a fan. I prefer the original!

This looks like a bad R8 copy. Front bumper looks like a cheap Lambo aftermarket piece. I bet mechanically this car will be great. But I prefer the old simple 91 my friend has, great manual transmission and a true drivers car.
