This draft is not loaded at all. The 12th and 19th is like getting a late 1st and early/mid 2nd in other drafts. Titans better get next years first as well.

Well that depends on what you're looking for I guess. Quarterback is definitely in short supply while the O-line and outside linebackers seem to be pretty deep this year.

I think D Line is pretty deep this draft, but the rest of the defense looks sparse.

I will laugh my balls off if Cleveland trades up to take Mariota at #2.

Yea I still think Mariota is over valued in his current skillset and preparedness.
He has the chance to be a good QB but only if he gets on a team that can help mold his current college skills to NFL skillset. Cleveland is not that team by a long shot. They will throw him out there first year and when he gets torn up they will call him a bust.

That and what do they do with Manziel? If this happens the title of the thread will have its answer.

OK more has come out, looks like the browns might want to get the 2nd pick to trade to Philly to get Bradford.

But yea Manziel has more trade value right now IMO. Don't think they will get a 1st round pick for him but if the browns think he is a dud they need to move him sooner than later.

I'm not sure that idea is any better. Trade their first round pick for Sam Bradford? Really?

A GM from a top 10 team yesterday laughed when he spoke with a reporter who said the titans are looking for three number 1s.

LOL

Bears shopping Black unicorn. GDI hes the best player on the team right now. WTF bears. They better get a number 2 for him. cant believe Seattle picked Graham over Bennett. Would have been a good trade for bears. GDI

Think the bears will pick Trey Waynes if they stay pat. With the cost of free agent CBs the last few years great corners are becomming just as expensive as OTs. Crazy.

Hoping the bears make a couple trades down. If they trade down in the second and third they could get two or three extra mid rounders so they can get some depth on both sides of the ball.

Really hoping the bears can Land Eli harold in the second. If Harold or Kendricks are available in the second however the bears should stay pat and pick. Now if Goldman or the OK DT are available they will probably go in that direction.

Was totally right about Shane ray and Gregory. Both those guys are in a freefall.

Lael Collins left chicago to go back to LA to give a statement on his ex GF who was murdered when 8 months pregnant. The baby survived and in in critical care. Lael may be the father but the police were adamant in saying he wasnt a suspect. Between the guy who went to prison for selling memorabilia from the team to this that leads back to him and the DE may cause them both to freefall.

I think the Dion Jordan suspension is gonna make the teams even more hesitant to take guys with drug problems.

Bud Dupree has shot up the boards on eveyones lists. was hoping he would slide to second for the bears but that seems impossible now that ray and grogory are fucked.

Should be a interesting first day.

if the football gods were kind Cutler would get traded for a mid round pick to the titans. I would rather go in with Clausen and a vet like Vick or trade for the backups in either washington or maybe chase daniel. I dont know of one bears fan who still wants cutlet.

I think it depends. Cleveland wants a ready to go QB. Bradford is a lot like RG3. During their healthy prime they put up some good numbers and looked poised to be a franchise QB. Problem is that was a very short period.

So if they think Bradford can be healthy and return then it makes sense. But I do not think he has done any snaps or workout since his injury so its very risky.
Just as Washington did the option on RG3 that means this is his last year to prove himself in health and quality. They have the option but only have to pay if he is still on the team around march.

Bradford and RG3 are on the line this year. They will either step up, hence why some teams may want Bradford, or they ill be backups for a few years and retire as could have beens.

I dont know of one bears fan who still wants cutlet.

I don't think there is a team out there that wants him, especially for his current contract.

Definitely a lot of interesting scenarios out there. I dunno though, if I am Tennessee, and all these teams are that interested in moving up for Mariota, I'd have to give some SERIOUS thought to taking him.

As most are saying, he may not be pro game ready yet, but he has the physical and mental make up to be a great QB. If you can roll with Mettenberger for a while, and develop Mariota behind him, you could be a serious contender in a couple of years. And if Mettenberger proves to have talent that you want to hang onto, I would suspect if Mariota even develops a smidge and is mostly the same guy with more experience in a pro style offense, he could still hold an extremely high value for trade in the future if it came to that.

If I am Tennessee, I do EVERYTHING I can to get my QB position right. Even if they truly believe Mettenberger is a poor man's Brady, having two guys there at least for a short while can help them figure how who to roll with for the next decade. And if Mariota really needs development, they can at least see what kind of value they can get out of Mettenberger in a year or so.

All of this that is, unless they get a serious haul for that pick now... which does sound possible. But even then, if they pass on Mariota and Mettenberger falls flat, they're going to be looking for a new GM. Boy, decisions decisions.

With the 31st pick in the 2015 NFL draft Seattle acquires Jimmy Graham.

So anticlimactic but not a bad move. Graham won't solve Seattle's TE issues with Zach Miller gone but that is why they have Luke Wilson. Graham projects to be more in the slot or split out. Essentially filling the void they have at WR.

Financially trading a low paid draft pick with 4/5 years control can be a long term losing proposition. But I like the move. The 31st pick will cost about $7mm over 4 years; Graham is owed about $30mm over 3 years. Is $23mm and 1 less contract year worth it?

I would argue YES. Graham has performed as a Top 5 talent which translates to $20mm over 4 years without the risk Top 5 picks have (i.e. a couple years to develop with a risk of a dud). And at # 31 it is a crapshoot who Seattle could get--certainly not a "lock" player. As good as Seattle has drafted since 2010 their number 1s have been very hit or miss (Hit on FS Earl Thomas, Mixed on LT Russell Okung, total Whiff on T/G James Carpenter, Mixed/Suboptimal on Edge Bruce Irvin, Whiff on the Harvin trade, currently a Whiff on Paul Richardson due to picking a small receiver who already had a major injury). Getting a Top 3 tight end, even if a move tight end, is an immediate talent add. Seattle's window is now. It is questionable whether they can keep Irvin after this year (just as he is developing) and with the contracts for Wilson, Thomas, Sherman, Kam, probably Wagner, Bennett, Avril, Graham, KJ Wright (bad deal imo), and Lynch (1 year rental?), Seattle cannot afford to pay all 3 LBs over $8mm.

weird delay after the time expired for second pick.

Cause they have some backwards ass arrangement where half the event is outside and half inside so for the first pick he started outside and then walked inside.
