Well damn, I think the Browns actually had a pretty solid first round by drafting two anchors on both of their lines.

Seems like Waynes was the perfect pick for us at 11, hopefully they'll get a good Safety in round 2 or 3 today.

Really good first round. I think top to bottom really good picks. Was not surprised about Laken getting picked. Guy is crazy smart and a football wonk knows all the positions and the plays memorized his qbs playbook and called coverages a ton. He manhandled all the DTs at senior week. Shelton DID NOTHING on him all week. Guy is gonna be a perennial pro bowler just watch.

When I saw malcomn brown drop that far I knew Bellychick would grab him after missing on bad knees guy last year.

TONS of good talent available for second round. Jalen Collins PJ williams should be early targets. Hope one of those two drop to the bears. I can see someone trading up for one of them early in this round. Some teams have 12 picks and I bet a bunch of trades get shot off as the value is there. There are 10 first round grade guys still available.

Someone is gonna jump on DGB in first two picks just watch.

Bears may take Gregory int he second. Would be a better value pick since the risk isnt as bad. Still hoping Harold drops though. Gregory vs harold I would probably take Gregory for the upside though Harold has first round grades from tons of teams.

Landon Collins is still available though they would probably have to trade up for him. Jaquiski Tart is an awesome safety that may go earlier than expected. Hard to believe Collins is still available.
Vikings got an awesome cover guy fans should be totally happy. Vikings got a great coach and front office. I bet they win more games than the lions an bears this year just watch.

PJ Williams and Darby should go pretty quickly in the second round. Williams has the size, Darby the speed.

I laughed at that too. It appears he reveled in it some given his salary.

That's basically what fans do to every commissioner for every sport's draft. It's getting old.

Yeah, pretty happy with what they are doing. I'm just hoping they can get something for Peterson; seems like that relationship is screwed now, so trading him away is the only option. Of course everyone knows this, so we will probably not be able to get much for him.

AP is still the best there is playing the game. He trains like a madman and runs and lives angry. He has a chip the size of the state of texas on that shoulder and should absolutely destroy linebackers as punishement for the next three years. They are gonna pay him the big salary the next two years at least. Guy is still that good. I doubted him coming back that strong from an ACL and he did it faster and better than anyone ever had before. Guy deserves the accolades on the field.

Off the field he is a douche but w/e lol

my bears picks for the rest of the draft would be Gregory if he drops in the second or

Round 2 Owa Odighizuwa or Mario Edwards
Round 3 Anthony Harris or AJ Cann
Round 4 Arie Kuandjio or Senquez Golson
Round 5 Jalston Fowler or Kevin White the DB- Funny story only corner all year who did a good job covering the wide reciever Kevin White last year was Cornerback Kevin White LOL
Round 6 Chris Hackett or Antwan Goodley

Goodley is gonna be a steal in this WR class and he could be an instand starter in special teams and backup and take the job away from Mariani.

Oh I agree, it just seems like he and the team hate each other now, so not sure it will work out. I'd be happy to have him stay and take it out on the North though.

I'll stand on a podium for 6 hours a day, 365 days a year if you paid me $40+ million a year...

I don't wanna jinx the Browns...but they're the Browns. There's still time for both first round picks to be busts. I mean...how many 1st round picks of the Browns do you remember of in a good way?

Eagles take a WR, which is a huge need. My only problem is that the lack of a good WR seems to be a self inflicted wound. If we had hung on to Maclin (and Jackson the year before), we coulda taken a safety with the first pick and shore up the secondary which was atrocious the last couple of years. Glad they didn't send a bazillion picks to get Marcus Mariota.

Seems like most teams took solid picks and didn't reach for anyone. Not much to complain about in the first round.

The Eagles secondary, both at CB and safety, is still a highly unresolved area of need. It's been historically hard for most draft choices save the absolute elite to slot in and be reasonably bullet proof from the get go in an NFL secondary. My best guess is that Chip has hoped to use Boykin, Mathis, etc. to trade for veteran depth/someone serviceable. I guess, as with all things Chip, we will see.

I'm also glad we didn't mortgage the farm for Mariota, especially in the form of multiple first round draft picks.

Looks like the eagles did try and give up the farm and everything else for Mariota.

Surprised the Titans did not take it if its close to what was offered. But looks like the titans are going to throw Mariota to the wolves saying he is their starter before he's even signed or played 1 pre-season game.

Immediately after the pick, head coach Ken Whisenhunt essentially declared Mariota the starter.

Wow, if true, how do you not take that if you are the Titans?? Crazy!

Chip says the offer was only picks, no players. Neither his scenario (Bradford would almost certainly have been in this trade), nor the one outlined above*, seem entirely accurate to me.

* Two first-round picks
One third-round pick
Fletcher Cox, the team's best defensive player
Brandon Boykin, nickel corner
Sam Bradford, starting quarterback
Mychal Kendricks, starting linebacker

Any opinions on the pick(s) you liked best and the pick(s) you liked worst?

While Winston may be very good he is a huge risk and could be a Ryan Leaf. I think the Bucs did poorly by not moving out of #1. I get it that this class had maybe 15 at most true Round 1 grades (strong mid round draft, weak at the top) but if they could have gotten Cleveland's 12 and 19 and either a young impact player or 2-3 mid round picks (e.g. a couple 3s and a 4th over the next 2 drafts) they are bound to hit on 3 of the 5--one could even be a stud. That is a better risk/reward than Mr. Crablegs.

Same holds true of the Titans, although I like Mari-o-to. Would like him much better in a Chip Kelly offense well designed for him.

I like the Gurley pick by the Rams at No. 10. I think, if they let him heal, he could be a impact player for years.

As I mentioned above, due to the lack of sure fire 1 round talent, I like how they parlayed that into a proven star. There are some impact players left on the board but some have issues (DBG) and others, like Gregory, are similar to players they have (Irvin) who took years to develop.
