2015+ Subaru Outback

I'm definitely waiting until I can test drive one of those small stubby SUVs (2017 Forester) before I make a decision since it would wind up costing me a lot less. The Outback is still very high on the list though, as is the Ford Edge. The only others things holding me back form purchasing now is that my Versa still works no problems and I'm cheap.

I went from an 07 versa to a 15 OB 2.5 and I LOVE IT!!!! It is no speed demon but its quick enough for me. I'm averaging 27MPG in mixed driving - about 2.5 better then the Versa. I bought my Versa out of necessity, but it has served me well over the last 7+ years. My son has it now with over 125k on it with no issues other then the dealer replaced tranny at 90k.
From the moment I sat in an OB I knew I had to have it. After driving it the fozzy felt very utilitarian and nowhere near refined. The CVT is leaps and bounds better then the Versa!

Holy crap, thanks for the link! This is one thing I love about Subarus, you can find anything online about them. Meanwhile, you go to a Ford Forum and all you can find is "take it to the dealer."

Agree 100%. I'm really leaning towards Subaru/Toyota/Honda because their user base are very active on forums. Sometimes I'll post a question on the nissan versa forum and get no response for months.

I imagine truck forums are very active, but I'm not in the market for one.

I had the CVT with plus2 tires on it. I was not happy with the traction of the bike tires it came with. I am sure that affected the MPG.
