yeah, I wont be surprised if they loose a game or two with the clipper to delay playing with Spurs before Curry returns. WWNBA...

Clips/Blazers are tied... Clips may not make it out of the first round. But I don't see how the Blazers can stretch it vs Spurs, as they should get crushed.

Well you are right, clippers may be out in the first round, but whoever come out that this match up plays Warriors next and spurs will be playing OKC in the meanwhile for round 2.

Now assuming Warriors and Spurs win round 2 and play conference finals, what I am saying that that Warriors will try to prolong round 2 (which they will be playing with either Clippers or Blazers) so that they can get a healthy Curry back for round 3 with spurs

Spurs and Warriors are the only two teams I could see getting to the finals without their best player. Both are coached well and have deep benches. The Cavs could beat anybody at full strength, but without LeBron they probably wouldn't get out of the first round.
what happeend to the king?
charlotte with 2 playoff wins in a row after 14 years without one. not bad
this is what happens when you change you name from the Bobcats.

and wtf Michael Jordan for naming his team the bobcats anyway?!

The Hornets moved to New Orleans for some cocked up reason and kept the name for some further cocked up reason for several years.

New Charlotte "bobcats" (expansion team, right), needed a new name. Bobcats are very common in NC and in particular the foothills/western part of NC.

What's wrong with Bobcats compared to say, the fucking Raptors or Wizards?

Also, was Jordan a founding owner?

Except those teams with their superstars lost to some pretty horrible teams this year. Nyloncalculus > you.

It happens every year. A single loss to a shitty team in an entire season of games means nothing Absofuckinglutely nothing.

it certainly isn't anywhere near the atmosphere of representing "parity."

And nothing has changed in 2 decades: the West is still overwhelmingly dominant while the East: has one truly great team, a bunch of try-hards that will never beat that one team, and an embarrassing handful of under 500 losers that still make the playoffs because the NBA playoffs are a fucking joke..

Oh wait, no--that one good team in the east isn't nearly as good as that one team in the east used to be, because they sure is shit aren't going to beat the top 3 teams in the west....at least before, that one good team was unbeatable throughout the league.

So, if anything, there is actually one less good team in the NBA, today, than there was 2 decades ago.

embarrassing for who? I guess you mean for the Warriors... don't forget we are comparing "all time best" NBA team with a team that almost didn't make playoffs
Game 4 first half was for me progressively unwatchable. Toward the end of the 2nd quarter I could barely believe what I was seeing, the play was so sloppy, chippy, aggressive, spiritless. Then, on the last play of the half, the worst thing that could happen to the NBA happened, Steph Curry was injured in a fashion that was just super unlucky (player falls, wets floor, Curry never sees it, slips on wet spot, is injured). Hopefully, he returns and is effective sometime down the line in the playoffs. If not, just a shame. I didn't figure the Warriors to win game 4 after the first 1/2, but they sure exploded in the 2nd half. So, I guess there's hope they will survive Curry's absence. I don't know if it's in them. I suppose it's possible.
The Hornets...

None of those names really work for me, but I used to think that Warriors was a tough name. Now, I'll concede, maybe not so bad. Wizards isn't horrible for a name.

I didn't lose hope before last year, but Curry's history with ankle injuries made emergence doubtful. I figured Curry was their hope. Actually, there's a lot going on with the Warriors beyond Curry. If the rest of the team remains healthy through the playoffs, I wouldn't count them out. Obviously the Spurs are their biggest hurdle.

Warriors without Curry can still beat any NBA team with relative certainty, they have a deep bench and a good coach, they only team that can defeat them is Spurs, again, without Curry. With Curry they are unbeatable, period, and that made the playoffs dull and boring. Taking Curry out of the equation has brought back the excitement into the playoffs.

The reason Warriors were struggling in the 1st half was because of injured Curry, him not being at 100% was dragging down the team, was changing the tempo of the game and the other players were trying to protect him and play at his pace. Once he was out, Warriors were able to play their game again. It's as simple as that.

The Curryless Warriors can dominate a 8 seed that barely made the playoffs and now they are unbeatable? I know, I know, parity in the NBA... rofl

I love how everyone forgets the Warriors barely beat Lebron and 4 guys they found in the parking lot of a Cleveland YMCA last year.

The way they have played #2 #3 teams like ukulele during the regular season makes them unbeatable. Don't get me wrong, I hate warriors and curry, I think he is doped, he spread is legs in the court like the little bitch he is, Adam the ringmaster let his circus monkeys make "history" by ignoring illegal screen all year long. But the fact of the matter is, the 8 member team, 5 player + 3 referees IS unbeatable.

The Warriors went 73-9, so naturally Steve Kerr just got Coach of the Year. Granted, they were 39-4 with Luke Walton coaching the team, and 34-5 after Steve Kerr returns, but that's besides the point!

LOL what? last year in the finals the Warriors had a full squad, and still lost 2 games and almost a 3rd to the Cavs who were missing their 2nd and 3rd best players. They should have swept the Cavs with those 2 injuries, but it was still a very competitive series. For most of the series, it was literally Lebron and the practice squad, they shouldn't have won a single game. WITH Curry they'll struggle to beat the Cavs in the finals this year. If he's out, there's no way in hell they could beat them any more than the Cavs couldn't beat them last year without Love & Irving. even if GSW's at 100% the Cavs should smash them. You're giving GSW's bench way too much credit. They better hope Irving & Love get injured again, imho even if 1 of those 2 got injured again. James + either 1 of them would be a coin flip in the finals against Golden state.

Last year was different, this year Curry and few others seem to be well doped up, not the mention illegal plays that the referees are ignoring. They are at a much better position this year
