All I can say is...regardless of anyone's bias or team preference, sit back appreciate what you just saw. A team rallied after being down 3-1 and took game 7 at a court that had the best home court record over the season.

Love GS, hate Cleveland. Hate LeBron. Whatever. Sit back and digest what happened last night. That is one of the most amazing finals finishes you will see.

It was a great run for the Cavs. Really hard to watch at times having seen so many lost chances for Cleveland teams over the years. Was a great way to finish off Father's Day!

Agreed. I have a hard time pulling for Cleveland simply because I hate the city but I'm OK with how things turned out. What started out as a boring finals ended up as anything but.

i agree. and whether you hate on lebron or not, you couldn't help but feel happy for him after they won and how emotional he was. that was just raw unfiltered emotion and he was balling like a little kid in the moment. if you can't feel happy for him you're just not human.

when watching that block in slow motion replay, it is incredible just how close that was to goal tending. if he hit that ball like 1 millisecond later it would have touched the backboard and been 2 points for GS.

oh, and on top of that, it looked like lebron was about 15 feet in the air like he had jumped over someone to get that ball.

And not just him. Did you see the camera cuts to Ty Lue by himself crumpled into a towel still sitting in his chair. Yeah. He is a very quiet guy and that just overtook him too. Was hard not to smile for them after seeing how much it meant.

yeah that was touching as well. they showed him a couple times over there, just alone, wailing into his hands.

After he ran to Miami, I've been a Lebron James antagonist. But what he did in these Finals definitely cements his case for top 5 all time. As a Minnesota sports fan, I could empathize with what Cleveland has gone through all these years and was pleased those fans finally got a championship.

People hated that he did that, I hated that too but you have to think about it logically, Cleveland back then was a horrible franchise, it still is, he needed to go to a good franchise to win. He would have never won had he stayed in CLE back then. Him leaving then coming back was the right thing to do.

I don't think the "Decision" was necessarily a bad thing. It was just horribly executed and so awkwardly done. If he had just kept it simple and said "Love you Cleveland you've been great. But I've got a different calling for now" and left it at that. No big deal. But the hype and awkward conference with the kids sitting behind him. Just the over the top'ness of it. Was just a giant finger to Cleveland.

Glad for Lebron and fulfilling my "Cavs in 7" prophecy (post 428). My friends were like, how the fuck did you call that before the series started? Well I figured it was going to go 7 since GS needed 6 to win it last year without playing against Kyrie/Love. Then in a Game 7 anything can happen and the hungrier team usually wins. Combine that with GS losing Draymond for a game + Bogut for 2 + Kyrie's hot streak and it's not that improbable IF Lebron did what he had to do (and be more efficient than last year). Didn't think the Cavs would ever be down 3-1 though, that was improbable. Glad the final game was a nailbiter, about time. Parity, bitches.

Him going to MIA was like getting cheated on by a hot chick who leaves you to marry a millionaire and goes on to have kids with him. Then she leaves him after the magic is gone, and decides to come back to you (while she's still a young MILF). Then you two have a kid and to boot you're also a millionaire from the divorce. Everyone is happy in the end and all is forgiven.

I didn't like the decision when he did it, and I'm from Florida and a Miami fan. But, it was for charity, and then he went to 6 straight finals and won 3 of them. If he hadn't gone to miami, he'd have 0 championships & cleveland would be mediocre with a bitter superstar on its team.

Dickey Simpkins has 3 rings, so by your logic

Simpkins =/= James? Damn, I hope James wins another ring before he retires so he can surpass the legendary Dickey Simpkins
Yep and Robert Horry has 7 rings. So by his logic Horry > MJ? hehehe.

I tried a while ago and it didn't like it. Whatever, fuck penn state. New info came out within the last month about the coverup going on longer and deeper than what was previously known.

But... Anyone else slightly sad Lebron didn't complete that final dunk over Green?

Yeah, I actually jumped out of my chair expecting him to finish that. It would have been the dunk of the decade. Great foul by Draymond though. Someone should compile a list of all time greatest missed dunks.

Another great but forgotten play, Kevin Love's incredible defense on Curry on the last full GSW possession.

I honestly didn't think Love's defense was that spectacular(yes, good for a big man)...
I just think Steph was nervous and really wanted an open 3.
He could have driven around him any time he wanted, especially at the end.
He just didn't want to drive and risk all that contact because that's not who he is.

Question: Why was Love on him anyway? Was it designed, to get more height on the obvious 3 shooter?

And that's part of the reason they lost. Nothing else but the 3, expecting the 3 to bail them out.

Yeah I was getting texts from a British friend of mine last night who doesn't watch a lot of basketball. He texted me about halfway through the 4th quarter asking if the NBA wanted Cleveland to win with all the foul calls going the way of Cleveland.

I responded back to him that Cleveland had twice as many shots in the paint and were much more physical on rebounds and got calls because of that. Attacking the basket always benefits the offense and when you are manhandling the other team on the boards they have nothing they can do but hold and shove. No sooner do I send that does Lebron get fouled attacking the basket and then Love got a call his way after Iggy had his arm wrapped up on rebound.

You aren't going to get fouls going your way if you are hawking the three point line. There was no "Plan B" for GSW. Splash Brothers were instead Clang and Whiff Brothers. The nerves and dead legs kicked in and shots weren't going. Green was the only reason it wasn't a total bloodbath and beatdown by Cleveland. Kerr had no counter to the battle of the boards and easy buckets in the paint.

Yeah, I think we've all seen Curry knock down unbelievable 3's against all kind of odds and defenses in the past. This series, those 3's just didn't fall.

I wonder if Curry gassed out at the end of the regular season + the injury v Houston, idk. There's still no doubt in my mind that he's the greatest shooter of all time, and deserves all the accolades for what he did in the regular season. I think at this point, we just need to see him deliver in the playoff and in the finals b/c last year, his performance wasn't great in the finals either.
