When you were up by double digits and Kevin Durant misses 7 shots in a row and you lose the game, they stole it from you. Sorry, but OKC played like absolute shit, even with Westbrook finally coming alive.

Kerr better hope this doesn't rock GSW, or they are done.

That long layoff by GS surely did not help. They were just not clicking, and that is why I hate it when analysts comment about how all that extra rest will help a team out this time of year. In this particular case, it did nothing at all to help other than make them out of sync offensively.

Nonsense, no team has had more lay-off time in the playoffs this year than the Cavs. And they are playing unstoppable ball.

Cleveland is playing real playoff basketball. While the front runners and showing signs of fatigue, they seem to be going full steam and doing everything right, to some extent so are the OKC, I hope they both make it to the finals, play some real basketball, none of that WWNBA circus crap...

ah, so the long history of real competition in the west <snip>
Good to see we finally agree on parity. At least in half the league + the Cavs (and you're forgetting Toronto Miami Atlanta). Wait, that is almost 2/3 of the league. lol

Weren't you the one saying there was less parity in today's NBA vs the 90's (despite all respectable statistical websites saying otherwise)? Now it's indisputable, parity found, the Warriors lost.

If it wasn't you, then whoever said there isn't parity can suck on it.
No, and it's really not hard to do the research on this since it's the same thread.

You don't have an argument if you can do math. But keep on crying about no parity in the league and continue to ignore the numbers.

Driving to the rim for a dunk or layup is not that hard. That Toronto D looked tired from their previous series, and playing LBJ straight up on D was a total disaster.
I didn't say every team had rust from a long layoff, I said in their particular case, it did seem to affect them.

It seems to me that it's a lot harder for GS to score when there's a defense that's athletic enough to stay in front of them. It played out exactly like Barkley said it would. Kanter and Adams gave them all they could handle inside by out rebounding GS. Hell Adams' physical defense (essential to GS missing late shots) and free throws probably gave OKC that buffer in the last two minutes, then Durant getting his touch back sealed the deal. GS is gonna be in trouble with their small ball lineup.

The true test of a good team is seeing how they adjust throughout a playoff series. Kerr is a good coach, it will be interesting to see how both teams will adapt as the series goes on.

Game 1 was a great battle of philosophy. GS with their small ball, taking advantage of their quickness to get open shots. However OKC said we gonna do what we do and played their standard big lineup. Big vs Small.

Will Kerr play flagrant magnet Bogut more? He only played 17 minutes in gm 1.

True dat. They are just HUGE in the paint with Adams and Kanter, plus Ibaka's ability to rim protect even when beaten in iso. Hard to believe this is the same team that was thoroughly beaten by SA in that first game.

I am not a fan of either team, but I'd say GS will win tonight. OKC wins a lot of ugly games, but GS has to shoot well to win this series.

Steve Kerr will make adjustments, will throw in new things in the mix. It will be a BIG challenge for OKC to get even close to doing what they did last time. Only time will tell if OKC has the character, the heart to stay in the game and not choke. They will be down by a big margin by the end of 1st qtr, might get even bigger by the end of the half. It will be interesting to see if they can make their own adjustments and come back in the 3rd

Damn straight. Earlier in the playoffs, Barkley (iirc) called OKC's pick and roll defense the worst he's ever seen. They obviously worked on that. So far, Donovan (rookie coach from D1) has been doing an outstanding job. Taking out Pops and the Spurs is a heck of a coaching accomplishment. And as result, I'm not betting GS will be able to make a quick fix and then grab the next four.

So GS thrashes the Thunder in Game 2. I guess that means there is no longer any parity?

If one game = parity, then one game can remove parity, right?
