Dang son, that supporting cast better show up soon for the Cavs or they may not even win 1 game. If the splash brothers had their usual night the Cavs would have lost by 30+ again.

I don't know who to root against more. I hate lebron since he is a jerk. I also hate GSW since they've become the team of Silicon Valley elitists who think they're the center of the universe.

I'll just hope Cleveland loses and the tech bubble bursts right after. I would love to see all those Google Software "Engineers" all selling their lambos to pay for rent.

I'm pulling for the Cavs only because I want something good for Cleveland. I don't really care about LeBron either way--honestly, he seems to be a regular guy compared to your typical superstar high-achieving athlete, so I don't get the hate.

Agree with the Warriors criticism--and it only gets worse because they are about to become the SF Warriors.

poor Oakland, people always trying to steal their stuff. A's haven't yet moved but it seems inevitable within 5 or 10 years. Raiders always threatening.

if the splash brothers had their usual night, the bench wouldn't have outscored the cavs bench by 35 points.

What an odd game...
I'll credit this win to Kerr for identifying and running with the hot hands. Also, props to Steph and Klay for not throwing up ridiculous numbers of shots when they were clearly not the team's top options on the night.

A few opinions I have from watching most of the game.
-Cleveland's defense is nowhere near what OKC's was. They did okay on Curry, but the Warriors had tons of open shots from all over...
-Curry was sloppy and bad for most of the evening, they were better off with Livingston in. The defense was good, but he can play a lot better.
-Golden State scrambled well. They helped late on Lebron and recovered to shooters well. Cleveland missed a lot of shots, but they didn't have as many open ones as they were used to.
-Kerr has a ton more options than Lue. It's not really fair.
-Lebron can get what he wants unless Iguodala or Draymond is on him, then he still gets what he wants about 80% of the time. Ridiculous. He also made Curry look pedestrian when he guarded him.

So, I'm still thinking series in five. I'm scared that Curry will play poorly the whole series and we will see an entire off-season/next season of "Disappears in the finals".

maybe. Even if that becomes part of his legacy, the fact that he is in the game drawing that coverage is what creates opportunities for the team and allows them to win more ring(s).

I know that the (universally moronic) sports media likes to play up this kind of junk, and fans tend to buy into it on either side, but what matters is that the kid is so damn good that simply being in the game at whatever capacity is good enough to win championships.

Bingo... I really don't want to hear something like that until football starts.

Cavs played a really good 3rd qtr, but Livingston and Barbosa were beasting early in the 4th and just ran away with it.

Iggy gonna get Finals MVP again, lol.

Warriors are serious about that strength in numbers moto.

GS finally played the kind of defense I want to see. If they can keep that up they will win.

Yea I feel bad for Oakland Horrible city management is leading them down the path of no sports teams in the near future. I'm pretty sure after the Warriors move to SF they are going to rename them to the San Francisco Warriors just to rub it in. I think the A's still have a slim chance of remaining but the Raiders moving to Las Vegas is looking more like a reality everyday.

.

Yep I was thrilled to see the lack of 7 footers and lengthy, athletic OKC defenders. Cavs defense looked like little kids compared to OKC. Barnes was especially happy with that porous defense in the 1st half

Exactly, he was drawing two defenders most of the time and sometimes even three. A team as good as GS isnt going to have trouble finding the open man in such situations. Lue was so determined to stop steph/klay that he forgot the rest of the team can ball.

Well, I just learned today that they used to be the SF Warriors way back when...but that seems even more salty for moving them to Oakland but not even calling them Oakland--just some vague moniker that makes their location to anyone outside of CA relatively unknown (I actually never knew where they were until moving into that area about 8 years ago).

Man, why all the Oakland hate, professional sports leagues?

The A's were already very, very close to moving to Santa Clara about 4 or 5? years back. The Niners thing seemed to come out of nowhere in comparison, but that actually happened.

Personally, I think that losing sports teams is actually better for cities because these teams are really just a drain on the taxpayers, so getting those greedy-ass owners out of town should be considered an improvement...but Oaklanders really love the As and the Raiders. I guess they love their Warriors, too, but I only noticed that over the last 2 years. It was like, suddenly, there is all this Warriors gear everywhere. strange....

But it's different for the A's and Raiders (despite the Raiders history of itinerance). They love those teams no matter what. The problem here is that Oakland stadium really is the worst piece of crap stadium anywhere. The writing is on the wall and while it may suck at first, letting those teams go rather than bowing down and footing the bill for yet another billionaire's money-sucking playhouse is the absolute last thing that Oakland can afford. I would hope that their shitty city management stands strong and refuses to pay for that nonsense, but history shows otherwise.

Yeah you can't really downplay the fact that they double and triple team him which leaves other players open.

Muse, are you watching the game? It's on ABC, no cable required!
Yeah, I was riveted to the game. Won't miss any of them on ABC. That 4th quarter was very satisfying. I time shifted it, so I could skip commercials, REW however many 10 second segments as I cared to rewatch however many times. Great way to watch a game, especially with my high quality home theater system (nice projector, big white screen).

Quite the surprising game. Shaun Livingston, the Brazilians, Iggy they really confirmed the S.I.N. identity of the team.

mediocrity is strong in the Cavs... they just showed up for 5 minutes in the game
It's Irving, Love and Lebron, that's who they are, no surprises. Now, the Warriors, man, the Cavs could not be prepared for what they faced!

Really, the only great source of unadulterated Oakland pride I can think of right now is Andre Ward.

Uh, I think that when the Warriors move to S.F. they will retain the GSW moniker. I'd bet a $5 gold piece on it.

If that happens people will say it was those 3 injuries (ankle, knee, elbow).

It's one game people, don't freak out about Curry. Just shows you that you can't double/triple team him and stop GSW from scoring. It's lose/lose choices.

I honestly didn't like Lebron based on how he handled himself every season up to this one, he's seemed to get it together and I no longer want to see him lose.

The Warriors have become more hated than LeBron apparently lol.
