Look like LSU offense is only able to beat middle-level teams and not the elite ones such as Bama. Maybe next year. The defense will stay strong as usual.

They did ok against Bama I thought. Ref's didn't help them much, but at the end of the day, like you said, they need a better offense. Etling? just isn't very good imo.

I would put up LSU defense vs. any school right now. Offense? No way. They had the ball (via turnover from the defense) deep inside Bama and was not able to get even a FG and 121 total yrds of offense?

Louisville and Houston tonight.

This game looked like it might be interesting earlier this year before Houston got rocked by SMU, but it still might be entertaining.

Should be interesting as Louisville has a huge incentive to put a beat down to be poised to enter the top four as soon as someone else stumbles.

The way things stand now everybody in the top 5 controls their own destiny. Louisville doesn't have to worry about a beat down, win out and you're in as either Ohio State or Michigan has to have one more loss.

I don't think it will destroy Jackson's chances at the Heisman - he was sacked 11 times ffs, obviously his O-Line was completely overmatched by the small/quick UH defense. Deshaun Watson is from my area, I've watched him for several years and I have photos of him posing with my kids, so I'd love to see him win it but Jackson's stats weren't abysmal last night and if you look at the season as a whole, he's still been the most outstanding player in the nation.

Louisville should be above Clemson, but may not be. Because they will take into account that they lost to Clemson. I guess we'll see.

I for one am very happy that Clemson finally got what they deserved, a loss. Refs gave them the game against FSU, NC State and Louisville. Did Clemson get hosed on some terrible calls this game? Yep, sure did. They had it coming and I don't feel bad for them at all. So many upsets this week, a team that was #10 could be in the playoff picture now.Great week in college football. Really shows how much better Bama is than anyone else too.
This...until last night. lol

Clemson hasn't played like a top 10 team at all this year. Struggling with Troy....really? And we play Wake tomorrow. +1 for the golden horseshoe and buying refs....

OMG, Louisville took a beating. The start of the 2nd half, I thought they might make a comeback but ...not. Alabama is taking it all again.

Not sure the bigger surprise, Ohio saving a 1 point win against sparty or gators win at LSU.

I'm not sure I would have put them ahead of Michigan to begin with. They've got as many almost losses as anyone near the top except maybe clemson.

So should Ohio State stay number 2 having cut it so close?

It really doesn't matter now. If they beat Michigan and win out they're the clear #2. Close wins only become an issue if there are a bunch of teams with 2 losses up for a single spot.

3 turnovers and could not push all the way to the end zone even with several first and goal opportunities = loss. No surprise there to me.

Neither a surprise. Is Florida over LSU even an upset? The spread on that game was way out of whack, LSU scares nobody even with Fournette healthy.

LSU was almost a 2td favorite.

Ohio was over a 3td advantage.

LSU was almost a 2td favorite.

Which is why I said the line was out of whack. LSU is a vastly overrated team even with Fournette healthy. They're 6-4 with 4 wins over patsies like Jacksonville St. Against the meat of their schedule they're 2-4. Florida beating them isn't much of an upset no matter what the line said.
