2016 NCAA FB Regular Season

This is a prime example of why I don't really like College Football that much, because the majority of games are just flat out sloppy and minimal defense. Sure it's entertaining, but not something I can get serious about.

That said, the highlights were fun to watch for sure.

same. I completely switched preferences about 8 years ago when, after going back to college games, I noticed how much slower and incompetent NCAA defenses are compared to every NFL team. I think some teams are still great and the game can be fun, but there is a real dilution in talent and capability. There was a time when I would complain about the NFL because no one ever used the option, because it is so cool and interesting! ...but I realized the reason it just doesn't work in the NFL is because success in the option depends entirely on fat and slow DEs and LBs that simply can't keep up with the QB/HB run and cut on a good option team. Every one of those plays would get demolished for a loss against any NFL team. It's hilarious.

You probably wouldnt have liked Ole Miss vs FSU then. I dunno, the amateurism is what makes it interesting. The games are still competitive, but its like watching Tecmo Bowl, and I'd rather play or watch Tecmo over Madden.

Week 2 scoreboard, didn't look to be not much in competitive matches for those in top half of the poll but we've got 2 top tens with less than 3 point margins in the 4th.

Well, finally Les "the stubborn mule" Miles finally made a change at the QB and LSU was able to move the ball on the air and score some points. Let see if the new QB will able to lead LSU to overcome Bama in November.

TN beats App State (barely) in week 1 and falls from 9 to 17. I think that's the largest drop by a winning team in a very long time.

Clemson squeaks by Troy and they drop from 2 to 5.
Georgia squeaks by Nichol St and they drop from 9 to 16.

App State is supposedly a top 40 team as well. I don't understand the polls but then again I'm not sure we're supposed to.

Maybe the pollsters still think Appalachian State is a D2 school. Probably more that a top 10 team shouldn't struggle against an unranked team at home, although after the Michigan thing I dont think anyone would take Appalachian State lightly.

Just an FYI, but App State's football team has been Div 1-AA (now known as the FCS Division) since the 1960's, not Div. 2. They were part of the Southern Conference, a Div. 1-AA conference, until 2014 when they moved to a Div 1-A, or FCS, conference...the Sun Belt. GA Southern Univ. moved with them, from and to the same conferences.
