Notre Dame found out what happened when you suspend or kick out a third of your starting defense.
Now that LSU done for the year, looks like time to prepare for next year.

LSU scored one offensive touchdown in each of its two losses, and Cameron’s unit failed to score in the fourth quarter through four games, the only Football Bowl Subdivision program to have done that. The Tigers rank 119th out of 128 FBS teams in passing yards, 111th in total offense and 110th in scoring offense.
Can't get worse with all the talents they have on the roster. Just need a decent coach. See how well/decent the defense plays the last few years. Confirmed by BR newspaper and why Miles was fired (how pathetic the offense was recently)
We will see. It's going to be interesting to see who they get to replace him. USC, and maybe PSU also might have vacancies by the end of the year as well.
I really want Oregon to be the head coach at LSU
Kiffin was quite young when given the reins at Oakland and still quite immature at UT (and USC). I can't imagine that he hasn't grown significantly both personally and professionally by spending so much time with Saban. He's a great recruiter and that's 90% of the job in college football. LSU could definitely do worse.I don't think this really has a chance of happening barring something drastic like LSU winning out goes down. I also think that if he doesn't get the job, he might move on from LSU, which I wouldn't like to see happen. For some reason, I have a feeling that Lane Kiffin will be coming to Baton Rouge, and I'm not sure I like the thought of that.

Of course, only time will tell. I don't think LSU will crash and burn with all the talent they have but again, stranger things happened before. My opinion about Miles (about his coaching ability and not as a person) went down a lot after LSU choked vs. Bama in the national championship a few years ago and then the same inept offense over and over again year after year. Miles and his staff have the top 10 salary in college football but did not deliver a top 10 performance for the last few years.
I really want Oregon to be the head coach at LSU and hope he will be able to turn the ship around. Stay tuned.
You mean Orgeron right? I first read that as you wanted Helfrich to be the coach at LSU.
I'd be surprised if its Herman, I just don't see him leaving Houston, especially if they get in the Big 12. But LSU talent with his coaching ability is a scary thought.
Uconn should be asking about mercy rules soon.
They do have a PR issue though. From what I read last fall when they were talking about firing Miles and paying out his contract (as well as hiring a new guy at $6M+), the university system is essentially bankrupt. So while the booster organization usually covers a lot of the expense and not the school, it still paints a bad picture in the public eye. It's done now, though...the question is whether Herman wants the job. I think he's from Southern California but I don't know if he's looking to go back.LOL. Yes, the big guy with that booming voice/accent. I like him but we will see if he can make it by the end of the season (Bama, Ark, A+M, Florida are no pushovers).
Hey, money talks. I do not know how much Houston is paying its HC but I think LSU has the money to pay him. Heck, Les made over $4M this season and his team was just average (barely). That's why he was fired. Top 10 salary = .500 = bad.
LSU has the money, the fan support, the talent, the defense, very much everything but a thing or two... just need a decent offense and special team => able to compete. I don't demand to win championship every year but at least able to compete decently is not much to ask with all the money LSU is paying out.

Points and laughs at Hugh. Can't point and laugh at the wife because I'll end up on the couch.Good god my school sucks...but we may have allowed Mark Stoops to save his job...you're welcome UK fans...enjoy your ass raping by the Tide next weekend.
