Yea I am not sure if the Rams are the best team to get the most out of RG3. But I also hope they sign him just for the laughs and jokes Washington will get. Esp if RG3 has a good or even great year, let alone they make the playoffs with him.

The perfect troll. Trot everyone out from the draft trade as team captains (assuming they're still on the Rams) along with Bobby 3 Sticks when they play against the 'Skins. How awesome would that be...even more of a slap in the face than last time. Not only do they have the players from the RG3 trade, but they'd have RG3 too.

Martellus Bennett to NE. Nice pickup. Think they want to maximize the last few years of Brady

Gronk paired with the Black Unicorn is going to be hell to defend. If Dion Lewis comes back healthy and they draft or trade for an upgrade to Amendola at WR2 to free up Edelman you gotta think they're Super Bowl favorites again.

Cowboys sign Alfred Morris! Finally, a decent back again.

I would by lying if I said I wasn't upset to see him go.

Skins look pretty good at RB, though, after last year, and Morris had a really weak year for him--sot sure if it was health/head/competition.

Hate the Cowboys, but I do hope he does well.

Just got back from a fundraiser for the Billl Belichick Foundation's Boston Marathon Team. Got a pic with the coach and he's hilarious. He wouldn't stop talking and was telling jokes the whole time. Probably heard him speak more tonight than I hear him speak in a whole NFL season.

Another execution fail by the 49ers. You benched Kap in favor of Blaine freaking Gabbert last year and then let him get hurt, and this year rather than trading him for a bag of peanuts or cutting him outright you allow yourself to get stuck with his entire guaranteed salary for the year. GG guys.

Colin Kaepernick's $11.9 million salary is now officially guaranteed for 2016.
The practical effect is that Kaepernick's release is no longer an option. He could still agree to a reduced salary as a means to facilitate a trade, with the tradeoff being he receives some guarantees for 2017. NFL.com's Albert Breer believes things have "thawed a little" between the Niners and their quarterback. Perhaps letting his salary become official is a show of good faith Kap will take to heart

And completely unrelated to football, but with baseball starting on Sunday I thought this composite GIF of all the pitch types a typical pro hurler throws was interesting. If you've ever been watching pro baseball and looking at a fat dude like Pablo Sandoval and saying "if Fat Panda can play in the MLB then I sure as hell could too" then look at this GIF and see what it's like trying to hit a pitched ball. Some random dude like me would be lucky just to hit the ball and put it in play, much less ever have regular success.

Now try deciding what location you need to swing the bat while the ball is coming at you this speed, don't think too hard because you only have a few milliseconds to decide:

damn that's a sweet gif. I try to explain these things to dummy crickett fans, but they simply don't understand how balls get movement without bouncing on the ground. That's because they are low-information crickett fans.

and lol at Niners. so entertaining.

Kaep is going to the Broncos pending contract negotiations. Though, it had better be a sweet deal because if he stays at SF, they got to pay him.

I just read a bit, and it sounds like Denver only wants to pay $7 million and obviously Kaep doesn't want to take any less since $11.9 is already guaranteed. So SF needs to decide if they want to pay all of that $11.9 and keep him, or pay $4.9 mill and not even have him.

Denver's also considering adding Ryan Clady to the deal, or some other draft pick.

Denver will be tough to stop if they get Kaep because kubiak will revive his career. Watch.

That's still a pretty big IF. This isn't a trade to necessarily get their starting QB, it's to get one more body to fight for it. Is all that money/dealings worth it for somebody who still hasn't earned the job?

revive what? he had 3 great games with the remaining balance being a shit career.

He's basically Matt Flynn with more experience.

He runs a 4.53 40 and can throw a 92mph fastball, are you fucking dumb? His raw talent is off the charts, he's just never had a good coach to refine it. He didn't get a 6 year 114mil contract (avg 19mil/year) + 12mil signing bonus because he's Matt Flynn.
