There's some pretty serious horror going on in Bangladesh right now, everybody seems to be censoring it, Facebook, Twitter etc. It's like if they are being paid to not let the info spread. Long story short, students there had a peaceful protest to demand better road safety due to lot of incidents and instead their government is raping and killing them, some even got their eyes gouged out. It's horrible. Yet it's not on any major media sources.

Lots of NSFL content (I didn't really watch much of it myself but it's labeled as such).

Just thought I'd share since didn't find any thread on it.

Well what do they expect from a radically religious Muslim country?

And yes I'll say it again.. the most dangerous muslim countries in the world are Pakistan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Yemen in that order.

They make Malaysia look like Michigan.

Finally found a good example of media bias, both in print and social media. Are they purposely ignoring it, or is this just a Melania's green jacket moment for the press?

This has little to do with the Muslim faith. It has far more to do with a corrupt government cracking down on protesters. Or do you think Tienanmen square was about muslims too? Can you make the differentiation?

P.S.: OP - relying on reddit as a news source is pretty similar to relying on facebook. It's a community forum where folks post whatever they want and popular-ism rules what you see.

This is a bit different though, it is actual bangladesh people using Reddit as a platform to try to spread awareness and try to seek help. It started off as one student urging people to spread awareness. All the videos are real (unless someone is VERY good at CGI and trying to make this whole thing up).

There's some fishy stuff going on though, when a post related to this makes the front page, it eventually disappears. Though supposedly there's a new thing where if you interact with a post it vanishes but only for you, so maybe it's normal.

They also have their own antifa group, I forget what they're called, but they are also responsible for lot of the violence against the students so it's not just the police. They are basically pro government protesters. The whole thing is a mess really.

Antifa is not inherently evil. Whatever they have is not even remotely similar your version of antifa doesn't go around looking for people to beat up.

From your own link and clicking on "News"...all the mainstream international news outlets (and CNN) have mentioned the protests, but have not yet reported on the government and youth squad crackdown on said protests (which is what this thread is about?)

Really? Some of the first links in the search say you're wrong.
