Senate thing makes it so much harder for Dems to take it in 2020. So even if they win the WH, GOP can Garland any SCOTUS nominees and keep rigging the courts through obstruction. Sad for situation American institutions in the long run, because a corrupt court corrupts everything. It's like HIV destroying the immune system.

This is sweet. I can see Trump fighting this in the courts, losing and defying both other branches of government. Even if the Reps refuse to remove Trump in the Senate after that, 2020 is just two years away and a lot of people are going to be unhappy about that .

They can request his taxes but it won't be up to trump or Republicans whether or not they get them. It will be up to the IRS and if they refuse it will go to court where the law is on the dems side. We'll see how opposed to judicial activism Republicans really are if that happens.
