Agree, I think of when Gronk's not out there for the Pats, not only do you lose a huge offensive weapon, the opposing defense can now totally bear down without worrying about losing him in coverage. Given Smith's mobility I thought they could at least get some 1st down's and keep the D off the field but it seems Tennessee was ready for that as well.Kelce getting a concussion definitely hurt KC a lot.
You had to see this game, the Titan's simply imposed physical domination upon KC, they made the mistakes that almost always ends badly but never gave up, I tip my hat to that kind of effort. Can't believe the Titans won...wth.
The biggest break for the Titans by far was when it was 4th and 3 and the Chiefs punted it and the Titans guy ran into the punter which would be a 5yd penalty and 1st down for Chiefs, but the Chiefs idiot pushed a guy in the back at the end of the punt return creating offsetting penalties and redo down. And then on the next punt the Titans returner muffed the punt and the Chiefs had the ball at like the 30yd line. And then they kick a 48yd FG and their incredible rookie kicker hits the post and it's wide left. You had to see this game, the Titan's simply imposed physical domination upon KC, they made the mistakes that almost always ends badly but never gave up, I tip my hat to that kind of effort.
Post your predictions and discussion here.
Wild card games this weekend:
Titans - Chiefs
Bills - Jaguars
Falcons - Rams
Panthers - Saints
Bye Week - Eagles, Vikings, Patriots, Steelers
My prediction:
NFC Champ = Vikings
AFC Champ = Patriots
Superbowl = Vikings > Patriots
Tough to play against that defense on the road, whoever wins the AFC they sure as shi* hope the Viking's don't advance to the SB. Falcon's playing a very good game tonight and beating the Ram's on the road. Kinda rare to see 2 road teams win.I generally agree with your assessment. I don't think the Pats can beat the Vikings at home. The Vikings quietly have been shutting down some of the best offenses, while their offense has just enough to overcome the difference. The Vikes have also beaten most every team they may face, so no surprises. I am a Vikings fan and I am used to be disappointed, but I think the difference this year is coaching. I do think Brady is a stud, I've never felt the hate for the Pats, especially after last year. I can only hope there is some unrest in their ranks if they make it to the SB.
Of course the worst nightmare would be to see a wild card team get hot and win it all, I hate that
Wow, sorry to hear that dude, was wondering why you were not posting in an NFL thread, usually you and I are always chatting back and forth. Hope you wind up OK, so far today Bortles looks like a deer in the headlights, he can't even handle a 5yrd swing pass accurately. Buffalo just had a tipped ball intercepted on their own 35 and the Jag's actually went backwards out of FG range and had to punt. 0-0 so far. Thanks for posting this. I've been in the ICU since Friday. May get out tomorrow.
LOL, this has to be the worst QB play I've ever seen, at least he's now just said F-it and is pulling the ball down and running for yards. It is quite windy here today in FL, I'm about 70 miles from the game.Bortles gonna Bortle...

I think the Saints were going to be good anyway, Brees was always a top-teir QB and with the additions to the run game and defense brought them back into a contender. This game is going the way I was expecting it would. I hope the Panthers start doing something so that it's at least entertaining for neutral fans.
And you Saints fans can thank my Redskins for sparking them this season! That has to be one of the worst collapses in the history of the NFL.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but they were basically like "Guys this is the REDSKINS and we are losing by 15 with 5 minutes left We can't have this" and then they turned it on and so many things went right for them and wrong for the Redskins that it was the biggest facepalm I can remember as a Redskins fan. Like there is a laundry list of things that you could make of what had to happen for the Saints to win that game and make that comeback, and they all happened, including a questionable PI call where Brees was picked off on his game tieing drive.I think the Saints were going to be good anyway, Brees was always a top-teir QB and with the additions to the run game and defense brought them back into a contender.
