That last play was on the coaching. What were they thinking.
DAMM.... WTF was that DB friggin thinking????, all he has to do is tackle him and the clock runs out!.
That was insane. That will forever be a highlight for how exactly not to tackle and why form matters on every play.
My thoughts exactly, Brees is one tough little dude and his 2nd half was just off the charts, he really did deserve this win.Really. All he had to do was stay in front of the receiver. Just wait for the receiver to come down. Whether he had the strength to tackle him down after that didn't matter either because he would have gotten help from his teammates. With no time left it was endzone or nothing. It is the single biggest boneheaded play I've seen in some time. I'm really sorry that Drew Brees is kept out of the championship like this. He deserve much better.
We'll see, I wouldn't, (even as a Pats fan), read too much into the Tennessee game, reason is that Tennessee has had trouble all season with covering back's + tight ends which is exactly what the Pats do best. Jacksonville has the speed at linebacker to cover those guys and the front to get to the passer. I expect a close, hard-fought battle. So happy the Vikings came out on top. I like Brees as a QB, but I'm a Vikings fan and f@ck Payton that POS. Saints gave their best and almost beat them at home, it was a nail biter.
As for the guy bagging on Tom Brady above, what would you expect Brady to do, cause himself misfortune and not take advantage of his situation? Admit it your jealous that he's living the American dream like anyone wouldn't want that
As for the Patriots dayumn they are the ones to beat for sure.
Man, no way I thought we would win that. I actually walked away from the TV when the 'aints were pushing and I assumed they would just kick a field goal and end it. Such is life as a Vikings fan for 30+ years. Still can't believe we won it and on such a crazy play...
KT
Edit: also, don't tell my wife, but I kind of want to marry Diggs...
Edit2: also with the stupid 'aints defeated, now all of my most hated teams are done, so no matter what happens, I can feel ok.
That moron of a safety better get run out of town. Not only did he airball on Diggs, he took out his own man
I'm rooting for the Pats. If the Vikes can't win, I want the Pats to take it. Love me some Belichick.Vikings fans have had it tough, and had some tough luck. It's not normal for things to go the Vikings way. I just don't care for the Saints after the Bountygate thing and the whole "Destiny" BS screw that, the Vikings got robbed that year, look back at all the late hits, but that was fully on the refs that didn't call it imho.
The Eagles will be tough at home as they seem to be gelling more each game with Foales. I still expect the Pats to pull it out, they always seem to find a way. The main take away every year is still defense wins championships.
I'm not sure which game today was worse considering the Steelers-Jags each gave up over 40 points to the other. Will Jax do that with the Pats?
. I generally don't care who plays as long as it is not a blowout. But Go Vikings! It could be the completely unexpected and unwanted by anyone on earth Super Bowl of Eagles vs. Jags. You could have gotten some pretty damn good Vegas odds on that matchup had you laid the cash preseason. My beginning of thread predictions have been doing good so far tho.
