Sadly, I can't participate in this sprint. I only have Turing and AMD.
If GPUGrid had Turing support I'd crunch it 24/7.
I kind of feel left out

Checking in - looks like my 1070ti is crunching the long runs at a pace of about 5:50 (hours:minutes), while my 1070gtx is only crunching the long WU's in about 9 hours.

Does that sound right?

The 1070gtx is on an aged Athlon II x4 630, while the 1070ti is on an i7 4770k, but I can't imagine it makes that big of a difference? Maybe I'm wrong? It just seems like quite a disparity between the cards.

Both are on Windows 10 - maybe the driver versions are different. Could that have that large of an impact?

You could use a utility like MSI Afterburner to see if GPU utilization is poor on the Athlon system. It does take a certain amount of CPU power to feed GPUs, the 1070 is probably too much GPU for the old Athlon to feed efficiently. Is the board AM3, or AM3+?

I am seeing 6.5 to 9 hours on my GTX1070s, Modular. Make sure you have your BOINC preferences set to use 99% of CPU (or less, to your liking). This will keep one thread/core available to assist the GPU task.

We have seen on Folding at Home, that CPU speed absolutely affects GPU output however.

PG runs the "best" the others we have ran in the sprints are "marginal" IMO

Figure EVGA does not make AMD cards, we should do ok!!
I am as surprised as you are honestly. Will see how long this lasts.

It does make sense. Maybe just because this one has always been green cards only.
To your point, if they don't focus, then they'll be passed by lots of freight trains.

I do have the setting to 100%, so I think it's using all the CPU that it can. It's only at about 20% utilization, so it's not stressed by any means.

Thanks, I do have that installed on this copy of Windows and it's showing that the usage on the short runs is about 50% and 70-80% on the long runs.

My i7 and 1070ti GPU usage is about 80-90% so maybe that's some of the difference.

Anyone processing more than one WU at a time?

Yep. Should be okay to do so with a 1070 and above. (more than 24 hours and you lose points)

That was us officially asking you, @Markfw , to switch your Windows machines with GTX cards, to GPUGrid. It is medical research as well.

You had better not be off on some exciting adventure again this weekend! How dare you have a life!

Is the 2060 gtx ? I only have 5 RTX 2080ti cards doing F@H now. I do have 2 1080TI cards, but its pretty hot out there. For the team I will put those 2 on GPUgrid

This site is odd. Am I on Team Anandtech ? I think I joined.....

I have one 1080TI running it. If I can verify it worked, I have one more I can startup./

@Markfw , When on the GPUGrid site and I click my username at the top right, it takes me to a page where one of the boxes at the top right says "Community." I think that is where you will find the link to join a team.

Code:
C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.gpugrid.net

Then restart BOINC!

Edit: Oh, yeah, paste the text into app_config.xml.

OK, I now have 2 tasks, one will finish in 55 minues (very soon) and the other says 49 minutes eta. So better than double the speed !

And I didn't have to restart BOINC, just read local prefs, and click update.
