...this is too bad. Anyone know how hard it would be to get something like this put together? I'd be willing to start a page, but have no idea what would go into the back-end.

I fear the sprints are ending. Nothing official, just a guess on my part. So with that in mind I'll be taking time to do my fall dust bunny removal. Then on to preparing for Primegrid and the December F@H - WCG marathon. Sad that this is happening. Will definitely slow things down around here. The power company is going to send someone out for a welfare check.

l'Alliance Francophone members apparently don't know more than we do. Sébastien was around earlier this month. I too wish him well and hope his current absence is for pleasure, not for business or even worse. That said, like ourselves, other fellow DCers are suffering from withdrawal now...

Still no word regarding Sebastien. Only more of marsinph embarrassing himself.

I'm afraid that on this issue, I might be a bit more like marsinph than I would like to admit, only quieter, re having someone who could take over FB. But I can imagine that it would be very difficult to find someone who not only shares your passion for BOINC, but also is 100% trustworthy, and knowledgeable about web page management. A tall order, no?

Yeah, the site comes back, and the marathons work, until the next sprint announcement.

No idea what will happen at the end of the year.

Maybe the web page "resets" automatically once the "scheduled" sprint is complete. I still think there's no captain at the helm of that ship.

We really can't compete with CNT, SG or LAF without sprint points. Those teams ignore the sprints.

SG do not only ignore the sprints, they have been ignoring Formula Boinc altogether for several years now. (Though a few members of theirs are more or less aware of what went on in FB. The sprints were sometimes hard to overlook due to their impact on project server performance.)

Sebastien posted in the LAF forum. He will try to manage the sprints until the end of the year. It sounds like he's tired of maintaining that site and other sites he set up. I can understand that.

I've been having to encourage the work to download, with limited results.

I haven't been able to get any work and i don't feel like trying very hard for some reason...

I was able to grab tasks just after the sprint was announced but since then it's been tough to keep my computers busy. I think Gridcoin has pushed the server to near the limit for the entire year.

Results in progress have leveled out and results to send have bottomed out since the sprint was announced.

I didn't realize the timing was so early. I guess neither did TN-Grid's admin - the project has no more work for now.

TN-Grid is generating work steadily, but slowly. This has always been TN-Grid's problem, though to somewhat varying degree over the long term.

This sprint will be won by the team which issues the most requests for work.
IOW, it's the typical, formulaic Formula Boinc sprint. :-|

TN-Grid, almost day one done.
The struggle to get work continues. We are in a respectable 4th place and if everybody is like me with over half of the meager work I can get is waiting to be validated we may have a chance to move up yet.

Yeah DavidBAM dumped a ~1m point bunker for TSBT at the start and then switched to XS to overtake SUSA. Haven't been keeping up with what GC has been doing so I'm not sure if they are catching them or not.

In fourth and looks to be secure there. Will we do better, time will tell. SG has been passed by the UK and the rest are tight knit.

Tasks which are fetched from now on have a decreasing chance to be validated before the sprint is over.

The limit of tasks in progress is 8 per logical CPU. With a task duration of e.g. 3.5 hours, this makes for more than 1 day deep work queues. If your wingmen succeeded to keep their queues nearly full, they will only submit results of 1+ days old tasks.

During the sprint, there are already more computers available to TN-Grid than it can generate work units for. Hence, joining this sprint helps the TeAm, but not the project.
