There are so many fake Black Friday limited time offer events out there that I just ignore them. They seem to mark-up stuff and the markdown it by 30 sometimes 40% off but in reality it like 15% off!

When Target started their early sales they were hyping up November 4th for when they would start their big game sales. Went to check their site this morning and the sales on games are for crap like Madden, smh. At least I made out like a bandit on PS4/PS5 games Walmart was putting on clearance last weekend. Got Death Stranding for $2, Nioh 2 for $2, Uncharted Lost Legacy for $2, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition for $3.50, Yakuza Like a Dragon for $4, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 for $4, and Immortals Fenyx Rising for $4.

Man Gamestop had a great Buy 2, Get 1 Free deal yesterday morning on new games. B2G1 deals usually suck, like the one Target always runs after jacking all the games up to $60 to $70. But this one was awesome because it was B2G1 but with Black Friday pricing. Picked up Demons Souls PS5 for $40 and Lost Judgment PS5 for $30 and then got Deathloop PS5 free in it.

Yeah, yeah... it comes with Mario Cart 8 and a 3 month Nintendo Online membership. But, seriously, ALL game consoles should come bundled with a game and a trial of the online service at this point. Especially one that's 4 years old now.

Would be nice but the pandemic has sent demand for consoles through the roof and Switch was already selling like crazy before the pandemic. Kind of sad that the BF deal this year is "we have some PS5 and Series X in stock at MSRP"*

There have been several sub $80 options - but I did the cheap thing and put down a little used Linux PC I was running that had a 1TB 860 evo in it.

Locally I craigslist found a 1060 3GB and 1TB WD Black NVME drive for $160 total(!), so the old Linux box with its i5 8500 and 16GB of memory is getting flipped for a premium on Craigslist now and my Raspberry Pi (and it’s inability to power a NVMe external drive) has what it needs.

That's a fair price, I suppose, but not great.

Then again, my main PC is probably worth $2000 if the parts were new. Part of that was the $520 Ryzen 9 5900X that I recently added, and I've got 2x GTX 1660 Super cards in there (for mining, mostly). 240mm AIO LC, 64GB DDR4-3200, 2x 1TB NVMe Intel 660p (they were cheap, BITD, had them for a few years.)

Best Buy and Target have had this deal going off and on for months. First time Best Buy did this deal I bought it for PS4 (since it runs ok on PS5 and free PS5 upgrade) and dude working there told me I was the only person who bought it that day and they had about a million copies in back.

He does, we both have older systems, his with a 2440/1440 screen, gpu is a GT 750 Ti on his and Rx 460 on mine, but I have a B450 gen MB and his is one gen older.

This would also be a first prebuilt, and that added to the meh of this deal and total price, has me looking at other option and him getting into we must buy today mode.

Checking ads again for better options.

Oh those cards are worse then a 5 year old laptop I guess .. a b450 you could almost buy a 1070 off someone and hope it lasts. I'm still running 1080ti's and was dying to buy some 3000 series.. not a 1060super for 400$ :/ (even tho might be as fast as a 1070 it sure sounds silly)

I bought a 32GB kit of memory. Didn't see much on sale other than storage - most of it was just as cheap, if not cheaper earlier in the year. The GPU situation has me kind of saying screw computers, I spent more on clothes, music , and household items.

Well if you have a gpu already really isn't so bad, but if you had been waiting 6 years to upgrade then ya it's super annoying and why not just bite the bullet pay 300$ extra and get a 3070 since it's a kick ass card and you spend that much on a tone lobster dinner anyway.. better to play for a few years then wait for 200$ price drop
