Wut?
Ryan is on the Colts. Atlanta signed Mariota and my 49ers have defiantly shit the bed with the Jimmie G (lack of) trade. Basically the only realistic team left is MAYBE Carolina...
You think Atlanta is counting on Mariota to do anything? He may as well be a guy they want playing in front of a rookie while they develop him. There is definitely a chance of that

You said Atlantq got Mariota so they wouldn't. My point is they still might want to draft a QB because Mariota is nothing but a stop gap. One of those two teams may feel the other is going to draft the QB they want and they want to jump ahead. This happens in so many drafts. It's not a deep QB draft at all, there's no super superstar, but if they value the top QB and they don't want the other team to get them, they might make a move.

Atlanta or Carolina. It is possible.

Or don't slow down and re-read what you typed and what I quoted.

I said Atlanta or Carolina might trade up You said the only team realistically left to trade up would be Carolina, (because Atlanta got Mariota).

Holy fuck.

Show me where I said anything about any team trading up. I said Carolina is the only team left that might trade for Jimmie G.

Texans had a solid team? No they had a few key players, Watt, D'Hop and uhh pretty sure when they had a good run game he wasn't there. He was constantly running for his life behind a shit O-line. I don't recall them making the play offs yet he was in the top for yards passed pretty consistently.

Since 2020 the Texans made the playoffs 6 times and have a grand total of 3 playoff wins of which Watson was QB for one.

They have won their division 5 times in 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019.

So yes, a fairly solid team based on results .... Watson OTOH is over-rated.

Perhaps it's you that needs to reread what MrSquished said, because your reply to his post absolutely makes it look like you said that Carolina is the only team to realistically trade up.

Dude you responded to MY POST talking about Carolina or Atlanta now possibly trading up and that might put the Giants in the mix to do that trade with one of their two picks (obviously their two first round pics)

The Matt Ryan move is good for the Giants. Carolina and Atlanta now are big in the market for a rookie QB. One might jump on one of the Giants two picks, which would be great

I don't think you know what is going on bro.

Like I said it's just a possibility but if either Atlanta or Carolina thinks the best QB in the draft could be their guy and they think the other might make a move, the Giants picks come into play for a trade. To me that is good. Pretty simple stuff.

Nearly every major transaction this offseason has made the AFC stronger and NFC weaker., with the exception of Brady un-retiring. The only premiere echelon NFC teams right now are probably the Rams, Buccaneers, and Packers. Even those three have lost players this offseason.

Tyreek to the Fish for a bunch of picks and a huge contract.

KC had to do it because Mahomes got that Mahomes money, they need more pieces

Ok. I doubt anyone is going to use draft capital this year to trade up based on the rookie QB offerings. But stranger things have happened.

It's just a possibility as I said, but losing Matt Ryan they may want to jump Carolina to grab the top QB because this year there are slim pickings, according to consensus. I'd rather there be more a possibility we can trade down one of our picks than less. There are a couple other teams that may want to draft a QB if they think Carolina is grabbing that dude. Anything is possible and yes, the NFL draft can be wacky, though sometimes it just goes as expected.

I think Falcons being in 100% rebuild mode, short of a 100% QB they love or is a general consensus grand slam (ala Luck or Manning) we don't see much. I feel like this year's draft will be much more boring that last years.

Edit to expand, because there are no real consensus must have QB's is the reason I don't think we see much action.

Just saw that. My beloved Steelers back in the hunt for a QB. (Trubisky is not gonna get the job done)

I have no idea what the (normally) highly competent Steelers football-people were thinking signing Trubisky for any reason .... he's not even a decent backup.

Would have been a far better choice using the picks/cap-space on other team needs and keeping Rudolph as backup ... IMO he's better then Trubisky at least plus he already knows the system.

Car accidents are one of the most heart-wrenching ways to go out. Highways are a dangerous place.

Just cars traveling means there's potential for shit to happen. Once time, I was walking down a sidewalk and saw an accident literally happen. Dude is waiting to turning right onto the main highway, and someone decides to go into the street when there was clearly no room or time and it happened in real time.

My mom and sister got injured in 2004 from a left turning minivan. She got a lot of broken bones. She declined neck surgery at that time. My sister got concussed and had abnormal brain scans that qualified her for disability.

Sometimes it's not always just the team winning, but other business matters. Perhaps giving Trubisky one more chance removes the room for him to complain to the labor union that he wasn't given truly fair shake at revitalizing his career.

Steelers are simply just throwing this year away, probably for good reason too. The AFC arms race is nuts and the Steelers are not in position to really make a chase. Friermuth, Diontae Johnson, TJ Watt, Cam Heyward, and Najee Harris are their only name brand, bona fide good players. If Trubisky does suck, they can "accidentally-on-purpose" tank to get fresh talent on that team.

I also wouldn't be surprised if the refs make BS calls against the Steelers to insure they lose games because Rooney wants it that way.

It's a number that might surprise those who don't view Carr as an elite quarterback, but it's money well spent for the Raiders ...
LOL! Carr was always going to get an extension, and we don't know what the guaranteed money is. But a $40M AAV and no-trade clause make this deal seem only marginally better than the acquisition of Davante Adams.
