He's too good to tank with but too bad to win with.

Other owners might have a loose "gentlemen's agreement" when doling out contracts, and Cleveland going as far as they did might have been Cleveland breaking ranks in how much contractual inflation and guarantees should go per year.

NFL owners can act collectively but they also can exert independence. Will be interesting to see the suspension of Watson. If it's more severe than suspensions of other players in similar situations, then perhaps its to deny Cleveland's opportunities to win as "payback" for winning the Watson sweepstakes.

Being a SF fan I don't hold it against any player trying to get that money, however how he's been acting, coupled with the fact he hasn't had a clean injury free season yet has me losing a lot or respect for him.

SF should trade him as a package with Jimmy G and get some picks back and unload Jimmy.

If they got another number 2 WR Brown would have been much happier and better and by doing this they also pissed off Lamar. Their only passing weapon is Andrews.
