I mean, for Hannity viewers, everything bad was either fake news or perpetrated by the Democrats.

-This cannot be stressed enough.

"Trump was doing *too good* and so the Democrats had to come up with the PLANdemic in cahoots with the Chinese to even have a shot at the Presidency, which they ended up STEALING anyway!"

Is a refrain I hear a bit too much from my conservative in laws.

It is appalling how willfully ignorant.

Georgia almost certainly going back red. Biden doesn't need the state to win, though.

Turnout was high in 20 due to GA combining the presidential primary with the general election. They have gone back to separate dates as the article notes.

FWIW Trump only got about half the raw vote he had in 20 in a competitive primary.

You could be right but a lot of New Yorkers and Floridians have moved to GA. Dunno if enough will vote though..

But yeah old normal Georgia.. I wouldn't be surprised..

Just remember their old senator Kelly Loffler

You are so a MAGAT. Everything is doom and don’t bother voting cause your Orange God will win. You are trying to be slick about it … hint … you are not.

lmao

Instead of calling themselves "No Labels" they should be "No Candidates".

I don't know anything about this bunch (seems a purely domestic US story), but, going out on a limb, the very _name_ they've picked makes me suspect they are a bunch of no-hopers. Who the hell calls themselves "No Labels"? What is that even supposed to mean?

Reminds me of our own short-lived gang of "we have no idea what we believe in" shysters that opted for the ridiculous title of "Change UK" (shortened to "CUK", just for extra cluelessness points). All of them disappeared without trace quite rapidly.

No labels is hoping to attract the “both sides” voters.

Is Ohio harder to flip than Florida or Texas?

Easiest to flip to most difficult:

1. Texas
2. Ohio
3. FL

But none of them are likely. TX because of demo shift. Ohio because it's happened more recently. FL ... eh ...

The FL Dem party is basically a biblical level disaster almost on par with what's happened to the GOP in Colorado, Arizona, Michigan, etc. Their most recent big plan was to cancel the primary and they ended up losing mayors offices in blue areas as a result. Simply irredeemable. The only reason to spend any money here is to get Trump to spend money here because it's his home state and would want to see himself everywhere. Getting him to squander his currently limited resources might be worth it.

Obama did win FL twice. So it can be done.

That said, how many fearful old boomers from up north have moved here in the meantime...and Obama was an s-tier candidate as the cool kids say when it comes to getting elected.

It's not the gutting of education, that'll come to fruition many years from now. A whole crop of Floridians who'll know the "truth" about the good side of slavery and other "corrections" to history. Thankfully my youngest--whose school has been great--is getting out of the system this year.

My oldest wants to leave the US and I think its over the Gaza thing. I am weighing options to leave for different reasons, but I look around and (currently at least) the whole world seems hell-bent on electing populist assholes. Israel is creating a generation of enemies everywhere by somehow managing to act more like animals than the 10/7 terrorists. They've definitely got a lead in the whole genocide Super Bowl, and why not since nobody has the balls to stand up to them. The UN? Please, they have the authority of a gnat, even assuming they pass some resolution without the US vetoing it because Israel is our "friend".

It's just amateur hour.

Also, wtf are mayoral elections doing on a random day in March. Put that shit on Election Day in November. I'm sick of these random one off election days that just serve to keep turnout low and entrench political machines.

I am leery of polls in general. Who are they actually reaching, and how?

Land lines? Who has one except for grandma, and we know how she votes.
Cell phones? I do NOT answer my phone for non-contacts unless I'm expecting a call, because it's always someone saying "do you want to sell your property" or other sales garbage.
Email? Nope, I don't see any but maybe gmail is sending them to spam.

It is far out, and people largely aren't going to change their minds. I know a few "independents" who deliberately do not follow politics. They'll say shit around election time about voting for X because gas prices are high this week or dreck like that. Mushy middle ignorance, and/or "both parties are the same" foolishness, and it'll decide the election.

What worries me is it doesn't seem to be making a dent in the polls and that means either of 3 things.

1. The polls are wrong
2. It's not yet November and the most telling poll is about 1 week before the election.
3. The people have already made their minds up and are not changing.

Most voters don't tune in until much closer to the election. Campaigns also don't usually start spending big on paid media until after the conventions.
