$209 Abit AW9D MAX

For those looking at 975x boards, PageComputer has listed the Abit AW9D MAX board for $209 and change, down from like $230 the day prior. This is about 30 less than most, and maybe 60 or 70 than the highest, and certainly the lowest around, even from the more shaky outfits. Page says it has these in stock. I stumbled on it last night and ordered one in the wee hours, and thus their website today says still processing the order. We'll see if they truly have it in stock at this price, but thought I'd share it anyway.

I have done business with page numerous times in the past, but their CS took a dive about a year ago. I am not willing to deal with them anymore.

Just got an email cancelling my order! They say not in stock and thus are doing me a favor by allowing me to "source it" elsewhere while they try to replenish stock. Of course, they show it still in stock on their website.

My guess? Dunno whether they have it or not, and should indicate no stock on their website if truly no stock, but I bet they're more likely to suddenly have it in stock if one were to order something along with it, you know, higher profit items to offset the low price. I wonder if people like me who order that and nothing else suddenly have no stock?

I've tried ordering speicalty UPS parts from page a few times because they had the best price by far and they said it was in stock. Both times I had the same thing happen to me. I won't order from them again in the future.

We've been spoiled by Newegg and an accurate inventory system.
