20X DVD Burners!!

I have a 16X Benq. I burn from 4x to 16x, depending what tickles my fancy. Though I think 4x is my current limit because the media my friend got me is limited to that speed. Either way I don't care, and I can still use my PC while I burn.

When i do burn at 16x though, its about 2 minutes more because there it time t start spinning up, and there is always a "finalizing" time....so I would say closer to 8 minutes that 6:30 or so...then again it isn't like that makes much of a difference

I'd rather burn it at a low speed for a higher quality burn.

True-X, multi-laser technology? Sweet. (I wonder how many will get this. I remember wanting one so bad when I first came into the Navy, but all I had was a laptop. And then the truth got out...)

16x is plenty fast fo dvd, I want 8x blu-ray for $99.......in 18 months I bet.

i still burn at 4 or 8

i only have 4 and 8 speed discs

I always thought it was weird that those never really caught on... If we can learn anything from video cards it's that there's an enthusiast market out there that will pay almost anything.

I burn at 8x, sweeter spot due to the DVD-R prices.

Using some cheap generic discs I got recently I ran into more errors burning at the slowest speed than at the highest speed it's rated for.
