Don't think I've seen this posted. Looks like it to me by the AIUHB code and the shape (more rectangular) on the picture. Voltage doesn't distinguish between A and B though. The model in the description doesn't match the model in the data (DLT3C vs DLU3C). What do you think?

Edit: overclockers has something today 1/10/03 confirming Tbred B. Wonder where they got their early indications bout O/C....

In the Thoroughbred cores, the A revision has an A as the last letter of the stepping code, and the B revision has a B as the last letter of the stepping code. They are showing a revision B, but they aren't saying that it's rev B. They may have 2100's in both A and B revisions. Hope the new CPU works out for you. Peace.

I just got two. I am fairly certain that it's a rev B. I dare you to find a store that sells rev A 1900, 2000 or 2100 cpu's. They are nowhere to be found (well, they are, as mobile cpu's). (newegg doesn't count in this dare )

Don't worry, you know I will Hopefully I don't get burned again like with my 1700+ T-bred A (even though its at 1.825ghz, later ones are doing 2ghz ). Its $91 now?? I want my dollar back!!! :|

But people are funny. They don't buy a CPU; they make up a fantasy about it and buy that. If the fantasy doesn't come true, no matter how unrealistic it was, it's the company's fault, and the reaction is often, "I'll never buy for them again."
******

snipped that from the overclockers.com article mentioned in the original post

hahaha it's so true

Doubt there T-Bred B's, newegg could have gotten that picture from some other source.

if you look at the label it is an actual 2100+, and Newegg just updated the picture recently. Also theres a good chance because newegg is now selling Tbred B 1700 and 1800+.

It'd be great if this is true that the $92 2100+ is indeed a Tbred B, and it would be even better if it could hit 2.4GHz

The product code listed is the product code for the B stepping- <FONT color=#5137c8>Model#: AXDA2100DUT3C </FONT> where the "U" indicates a B stepping. All the right numbers, stepping and product code, for a B core. If you receive a different one, then you have grounds for a return.

wtf would newegg do that?

Wtf not fvcktard?, they've had pictures of CPU's that they have obviouly not taken in the past so who's to say that picture is directly from them? There are 2 different product codes listed, so there are no grounds for a return if you get a non-b core

As of 2135 hours, CST, the price is now $97. Apparently, someone at Newegg knows what they've got there. The stepping ends with a "B" indicating a B T-Bred, as listed at the article in Overclockers.com, linked in an above reply. I'm still doing some checking and most probably will be ordering one. I have an Epox 8RDA+ on it's way to me as we speak. This CPU (if it's indeed a B) would be unlocked. Holeeeeee sheeeeeet! OC heaven.

Before you get all happy. :|

Forget the pic showing the core code. Add that CPU to the shopping cart. LOOK AT THE CORE CODE LISTED IN THE CART, IT'S NOT THE SAME CODE LISTED ON THE PAGE!

The PICTURE lists a AXDA2100DUT3C but when you add it to the cart, it lists a AXDA2100DLT3C U means a 1.6V "B" L means a 1.5V "A"

Something isnt' right so I'm not ordering.

*EDIT*
To be a man, you've gotta admit you messed up. So, I'm not gonna edit my obviously stupid panic post above. Thanks to CHIZOW for setting me straight. While the "U" does mean 1.6V indicating either an A or B, I didn't know that there were no A stepping 2100's or above made. My bad. The stepping of AIUHB most probably does mean a B TBred. How far it'll go is anyone's guess...a $100 guess at that. Roulette, anyone?

never heard of a A core 2100+ but as another person stated there is two different model numbers so what gives

I didn't order one last night. I'm waiting for some results. For $70 or so, I'd take a gamble, but $100 is just too much of a risk. I already have a XP1600 that will do 1.8GHz w/the right memory. If I'm going to upgrade, I want more than another 150-200MHz, you know?

i am in the same position. if i am going to upgrade i want it to be higher than 1838mhz where i am now. so i like to see 2200mhz or so. maybe i am asking for to much then again maybe i am not

Heh, I guess it all depends on what AMD has done as far as yields/marking down/rebadging, right? We shall see.
