not too bad...
i think this chip has more head room...
i ordered a 80 to 60 mm fan attachment because this slk-800 REALLY doesn't like my cpu...
Better news for me.
HAHAHA....
man, it's going to be SOOOO hard to part with this 1700+ though 700 mhz o/c with this baby

that's the thing...
it's such a great heatsink! i don't understand why this 2100+ doesn't like it though... i installed the heatsink the same way for the 2100+ and the 1700+ but it doesn't like the 2100+ though...
i'm going to make 1 more attempt tomorrow... if it fails... then i'm selling my slk 800

I forgot to mention that the 28C is overclocked to 166FSB (13 multiplier).I get 24-25C at stock 2100+.I think you know but put the AS3 on thin, like paint. Also I assume you have the SLK-800 on the right direction.

hehhee... yes ... everything is fine
i dunno what's wrong.. it just REALLY doesn't like it for some reason...
my 1700+ runs fine on it... it's just one of those computer mysteries of life i guess...
note:
my 2100+ is now running at 2.3 ghz !!! WOO HOO!!!
it failed prime though after 2 to 3 hours... but i think it failed because temps got up to 55 to 56 C ... i think it's a heat issue more so than "hit a wall" issue...
only at 1.75V
bgeh: you're in malaysia!!!!!!!!!!

2.3 ghz @ 1.75V
Passed 6+ hours of prime. It was a heat issue.
I took my rotating fan i have in my room and made it blow on my board and cpu. Dropped the temp from 55 to 50C at full load
I woke up and lo and behold... prime still running...
It's running warm but i think this might be a winner!!!
pillage... i might just have to let this 1700+ go now!!! but we'll see... i REALLY want to fix this heat issue first...
if i can get this heat issue fixed, i'll definitely let it go

this slk800 is a beast!!!
i was using a taisol with my rotating fan.. max temp = 50C
i think i have the slk properly installed now...
46C at full load @ 1.75V
2312 mhz according to wcpuid
!!!!!!
anyone think i can go higher?
should i try?
2400 maybe?
naw, i doubt it
note:
hmm... does that mean that my 1700+ would run cooler? now that i know the correct way to install it? :Q it was running 46C full load... whoa.. maybe it'd run 43 or even 42!!!
hehehe... i'm tempted to try..
