Muahahahahahah! If I didn't have $700 in bills to pay, I'd jump on the board right now. Guess the Asus A7N8X Dlxe will just have to keep me warm for now.

That's exactly how much I have in my CC debt.

Well got my tbred 2100xp today that i ordered on Saturday... i just started it up and i'm ramping up the multiplier on my asus nf7-s. right now easily hitting 15 x 133 at default voltage for 2400+ speeds... gonna keep crankin it

...well i hit 16x133 easily too for 2600+XP equivalent... at 1.65 V I'm happy... it's running 47 idle though.. but i think abits read out a bit high. What do you think i can push my fsb too?

What ram do you have in there now? That'll be the determining factor of how high you can push the FSB... I'm ready accounts of users getting well over 200+MHz fsb as long as their ram is fast enough. Even have read of 233+Mhz fsb speeds...

Dave

Did a fresh install of XP, now running at 13x166 at 1.7v without much effort. Wouldn't boot at default voltage.... Haven't played around with many settings in BIOS, and going to run prime 95 for awhile to see how well it runs... System specs as follows:

Epox 8RDA+
Alpha 8045 with 80mm Panaflo low rpm fan (L1A I think) with AS3
1 512MB stick of Corsair PC3200C2
Elsa Geforce 3
Tekram U3W SCSI Card
Atlas 10K3 18G
Maxtor DM+9 60G
Antec 840 case with Panaflo fans

I will post more once I see how well it goes, and if anyone's interested....

Dave

Edit: Temp seems to be holding steady at 46C while running Prime95 for nearly an hour..... Seems like a nice deal for a hundred bucks....

Edit: ran Prime95 for 3 hours without errors, temp fluctuated between 45-46C, and my case is pretty cluttered inside....

will this proc. work with an epox 8kha+? I also have 512mb of ddr 2100 (256mb right now). will this still work together, or do i need a new board, like the new epox 8rda?

okay... my board should be here any minute now!!!

i have 2 sticks of samsung pc2700 ram rated at 2.5 cl....

when i up to the fsb to 166, what should i set the timing of my ram to? .... i also read on the anandtech review that the 8rda+ doesn't have a pci lock... so if i up the fsb above 166, won't i throw my pci frequency out of whack?

or anyone that can give me a list of timings to use for my RAM for corresponding FSB, I'd greatly appreciate it...

Run the Memory and FSB sync (will be a bios option). At first, use the most relaxed timings to try to get to the limit of the chip (or your memory). After you hit the wall, keep on reducing the timings until you have maximum speed + maximum stability(which means you might have to lessen the FSB to get the higher timings).

Contrary to initial reports, the Epox 8RDA and + DO in fact have PCI/AGP locking, so don't worry about that.

In the BIOS, theres going to be several RAM timings options most likely under Advanced Chipset Features. Your PC2700 may be rated to run Cas2.5, with these timings 2.5-4-4-8. Try bumping those timings up to say 2.5-6-6-9 for example to see the true limitations of your chip, and not your memory.

Just setup my new rig last night. Jumped on the 2100+ cpu.

8RDA
512MB Samsung 2700
CPU is at 13x180@1.775 38c full load, mem@2.7

Not bad i say : )

Ran Sisoft Sandra burn-in so far for 3hours. I tryed running Prime95 but got an execution error.

I need opinons on wether these voltages look good?
+5v=4.97
+3.3v=2.75
+12v=11.80
-12=12.20

I beleive it will work but can someone guesstimate how well it would overclock on this board?

Looks good, the 3.3V is actually VDimm (memory voltage) - at 2.7V. setting.
