2100+ Tbred B (? -> yes!) at newegg for 92->101 dollars (1/14/03)

I'm going to bump this for the good of all mankind. I am anxiously awaiting the results from those who purchased an alleged "Super B TBred" already.

phew, I was worried, about 2AM EST this morning, newegg didn't show their $97 2100+ at all... it's back up there now.

Newegg cpu sold out fast, so you better act fast too. CPU price up & down everyday without notice!!! their business so good because good Customer service, & I like their service as well.

I bought one last night, should be here in a few days... I'll report as soon as I get it.

Did anyone notice that now all of a sudden there are 2 XP2100's?

One is for $96 - AX2100DMT3C
The other is for $97 - AXDA2100DUT3C (or AXDA2100DLT3C?)

I don't think the $96 one wasn't there before... Is this a good sign?

Maybe they're busy sorting out the B's from the rest

Hello there. The XPs that start with "AX...." are regular Palominos. The XPs that start with "AXDA..." are Thoroughbreds. There are Palomino XP2100s and Thoroughbred XP2100s. Pallys are made on a .18um process, TBreds, on a .13um process. TBreds run on either 1.5 or 1.6/1.65 volts. All Pallys run on 1.75 volts. Hope this helps. It is confusing.

Yes, the $96 2100+ CPUs at newegg are Palomino chips, and newegg has had them in stock for quite some time. The new chips, the AXDA2100DUT3C chips, are 2100+ we are almost posative now that they are Thoroughbred chips, and most importantly the revision B Tbreds similar to the 2400+. Newegg was carrying them for $92, but selling a superior chip for $4 less doesn't make a lot of sense when newegg probably has a hefty stock of both flavors. The $96 chips will probably soak up those who are so tech savy while the $97 chips will most likely be a very special treat for enthusiasts like many of us here are.

Damn...doesnt look like its coming today...sitting on the FedEx ramp in Dulles and not on a trunk I guess Saver shipping gets low priority after a weekend....FedEx must still be backlogged from the holidays.

man you guys....so i bit the bullet and bought one even though the new revB will probably flood the market by the end of this month no to mention the price going down : (


after I read one guy getting it up to 2.42Ghz on air (AIUCB step from newegg)......how can i pass this up for a $100 -- just hopefully none of the XP2100 are not the "J" steppings like the 1700 since those don't oc well at all.

Heheh eating and watching some B-ball right now....takes some prep time. Also I'm putting in some new toys in my Lian-Li, so its not gonna be a super-fast turn around. I should have it up and running with some prelim results by 10:30pm est.
