I consider the CC deal too much of a risk. No ability to return on the very likely possibility that there will be dead pixels. There's probably a good reason it was returned in the first place and is now a refurb.

YMMV of course.

Buy it with AmEx credit card and get yourself another year of warrnaty. If it can't be fixed, AmEx will reimburse you the $$.

Yeah, boy, in 30 years I'll bet i'll be looking back and wondering what could have been over not buying a refurbished monitor with no return policy at the same price Best Buy was selling a brand new one for. Why?!!!! WHY?!?!

I got the 221wsd for $230 out the door from Circuit city last week for the wife. See its back up to $319 now. NIce enough monitor for the price.

i got the 19' version from compusa a while back. its 119, no return as well. but no dead pixals. thank goodness!

Guys I got the X221WSD for 180 from circuit city using the 40 off 200 coupon. I got it from the moversguide from the USPS when I moved. If you can snag one of those coupons in the mail or from a friend, you're good to go. I just went to customer service and asked for one without dealing with those difficult sales reps.
