not sure how it works, but it does. Still takes a good minute or 2 for my netflix movie to start but then it streams very well. The lag to start is honestly my wifi because im only using a wireless g router, havent updated to n yet because my laptop only supports g anyway.

i have vizio TV with apps.

TV basically have yahoo apps built it.

i use.. yahoo weather, net flix, you tube, amazon video rental, twitter, facebook, pandora on it.

I also have boxee.. so i prefer using that.

it's nice add on, but it's sluggish at times.

i wonder when microsoft is going to parter with vizio and make windows media center lcd tv's. a 55" with media center 7 built into it would be really nice.

I setup a 55" LED LCD Vizio with Internet Apps the other day for my uncle. It's a tad laggy, but works surprisingly well. Once the streaming got started it was fine, just the GUI can be a tad slow. A good tradeoff for not having to add more hardware though!

This would be the perfect TV for a cardio machine...just mount it in front and stream Netflix to it so you don't get bored exercising

no web browser app, their app list seems to be growing though. Its nice that the apps are all customizable and you can add what you want and delete the preloaded ones you don't. My favorites so far are netflix and revision 3.

Here is a link to their apps if you are interested

I picked this tv up from BJ's for my son to use while on the treadmill. I have it hardwired in to my network and he says it works great. I am still waiting for Vizio to release a DLNA app for it.

It's not your WiFi. I use G and Netflix loads quickly on my PS3, Xbox, and PCs. It's either the hardware being a bit slow to load everything, or you have a very low throughput internet connection.

Yeah, it started up quick for me. The only thing that was a bit laggy was the GUI - but not so bad that it was unusable.

There is a 26" model if this does not cut it. I'm watching for it to go on sale now, looks like a good product.

I just read recently that OnLive is coming to Vizio Apps. That may be of limited interest to the AT crowd of course.

I got the sense from the press release that it was coming to new Vizio TVs and not backwards compatible, although I could be wrong.

Bummer, online is sold out and both local stores are sold out. Ah well. I'm curious to see the quality in person. I'm looking at either this, or just a 20-something inch monitor plus a Roku box. But I'd rather have it compact so I can throw it in front of my elliptical machine. Both stores have 10 on order, so I'll check out the store displays in person once them come in. Vizio, you're my only hope at getting in shape!

I picked up the 26" version at Costco last night.
Hooked it up and watched a netflix. That was perfect with no lag at startup, great quality. Things I noticed so far:
1: changing channels, there is a significant lag.
2: you can't order your channels or make a favorite list, only exclude channels. I am spoiled by or Panasonic in that regard.
3: can't label channels either. I get a ton of QUAM channels without label info.

No other complaints so far.

I really don't understand that. They should slap their GUI on the channel setup too - I setup my uncle's 55" Vizio last week and it was the same deal...while it was nice to be able to type names in next to the inputs, I'd like a flashy menu that ONLY displayed the names and not alongside the input channel. It's confusing to the average consumer. If you could program the inptus, name them manually, and then hit a button to swap, that'd be uber awesome.

Our Panny Plasma has that favorite channel menu, and you can choose to surf that instead of all the channels. That is much better. I don't want to sh!tcan all the extraneous channels but I do not want to surf through them either.

Ahh that's nice...vs. sorting through 100/300/1000 channels, for sure.
