Prices are always trending lower. It is not surprising to see lower MSRP on newer model. Of courses, real-world prices of the 244T are going to fall starting just before the 245T is released.Originally posted by: Starbuck1975
Any insight as to why they are pricing it lower then the 244T?Finally, Samsung 245T. This will be S-PVA:
I also expect that lower price for the 245T will drive down prices of the Dell 2407, which also uses a Samsung panel.
Pricing-wise, Samsung seems to want to be Buick to Dell's Chevrolet.
I would have really liked to see a more affordable Dell equivalent to Samsung's 215TW, using to same panel.
Speaking of which, we know that Samsung has just released a TN 24-inch panel
Yet, there is still no announcement about a monitor using this panel. I would not bet against a Dell E248WFT. (I have already googled it and no...not yet...)
A 24-inch TN will possibly have severe viewing angle problems, but will help put downward pressure on the prices of better (IPS-MVA-PVA) 24-inch monitors
