Hello
I am going to buy a 24' monitor for PC gaming and surfing the web. My computer is a 6600 with 2 g ram and a 8800GTX GPU. I have read all the reviews and have come to the conclusion that for the price the BenQ FP241 W is a very good buy. I have also made the conclusion for my situation the LG L246 is a better value. Here are my conclusions on things. Please tell me if I am wrong (IYHO) or if I have missed anything.
1. The Dell is a good budget monitor with a inferior screen and doesn't match up with the LG and the Benq.
2. There are problems with the Gateway and I should just stay away.
3. The NEC while nice isn't worth the extra money if it only being used as a PC gaming monitor.
4. The Benq FP 241WZ and FP241VW BFI feature doesn't add anything to the monitor and isn't worth the extra cost.
5. The BenQ FP241W has more inputs than the LG245 but since it is being used strictly as a PC gaming I will see no benifit from it.
6. The BenQ 241W and the LG246 use the same screen and although the LG only uses a HDMI to DVI cable I shouldn't have any problems.
7. The LG246 is $50 (cdn) cheaper ($799 vs $749 cdn) so it is a better value since I won't see any benefits from the BenQ.
So is my logic flawed?
Thanks in advance.
