If this should be in OT, please move:

I just upgraded my monitor at home from a 17" standard width (SW) LCD to a 24" wide screen (WS) LCD and it rocks!!! I like having WS so much, I just got my wife a "nice" Fry's special 20" WS to replace her 15" SW LCD.

Unfortunately, after spending a weekend with my WS goodness, I am now forced to work on this damn 19" SW CRT.

Oh, the pain!!!

Anyone else have such a difference between their home v. work monitors (Either home better than work or work better than home)?

07-10-08 UPDATE:

My monitor at work was just "upgraded" to a 17" SW LCD. It is technically smaller than the 19" CRT, but it has a much nicer, crisper picture (I think the CRT must be dying). Also, I now have a lot more room around my desk!

However, compared to the 24" I have at home, this monitor is down-right tiny.

standard width I think... Anyhow I game and work from a 19" crt diamondtron flat, I tried buying a 24" lcd last year but the amount of information out there says that TNs will always suck for games. S-IPS, S-PVA, MVA are out of my pocket range so I'll wait until the day that I don't have to compare motion blur on a selection of lcds.

I gave up gaming in 2006, so that was not as much of a concern for me. If I get back into it, then I may have to upgrade again

Me: 17" SW --> 24" WS
Wife: 15" SW --> 17" (for 2 days) -->20" WS
Kids: 15" SW --> 17" SW

When I upgrade, everyone wins!!!

I've got a 24" at home 8-bit and the one at work is 6-bit 1280x1024

I don't notice the difference for some reason.
