Sweet setup, don't see any problems there so, have you tried lowering the multi enough to be certain clockspeed isn't a factor? Is that 1 stick of ram or 2? Tried both SC-DDR slots? Can you try another CPU in it to make certain your baord isn't the culprit. I know it's suppossed to do 200fsb EZ and most do but your's could be a DUD

I've tried the ram in slots 1 and 2. My CPU easily does 2100mhz but it chokes hard at 10x200. I've read about the problems people have had with HyperX pc3500 but that problem was referring to double channel mode, so I sure the ram is fine. Just wondering what other people have experienced?

Stock voltage, 1.65v. I might have to bump it up a few nothes to hit 200FSB. DDR voltage is stock as well.

Tried 9x200 with 1.7v Cpu and 2.7v DDR, still nothing. Running at 191x11 right now rock solid.

how do the voltages for all the rails look? If those are good and you have a quality PSU then I'd speculate you have a dud chipset and need a vdd mod to get 200fsb.

I have an Enermax 350w, I checked the voltages and they all look nice. I have a revision 2.0 chipset so if it doesn't work at 200 I'll just RMA the board. I was playing DC at 2101mhz and I had no problems. Damn mb chipset!

I was able to do like 15x150 but then sandra says i may have some issues with my pci and agp so i dropped it down to like 15x145. With this sandra says my fsb is high but no message for the PCI/AGP slot. Question is how do you lock down you PCI/AGP. I dont see an option. I have a abit kx7-333. It only list out 3x2x1, 4x2x1 or 5x2x1.

Just to let you know, on nforce2 mb's the pci anf agp bus are isolated. If you change the ram speed, the agp and pci bus are still at stock speed.

The only current AMD boards that can do this is the nForce2. You might have better luck skipping straight to 166 since, your board does have a 1/5 multiplier.

I just got the A7N8X DeluxeV2 from Newegg. I am struggling to get above 185FSB at any multiplier and even that is hard. It is possible it is my chip, but I am wondering if I got a defective board as well. Could Asus possibly have released a bad batch?

I had the exact same problems...sorta. I managed to hit 200mhz fsb with my pc2700 ram, but then when I got greedy and went for 210mhz fsb I corrupted the bios :/

I don't know if it was the chip or the board tho. I had to RMA the board unfortunately...it refused to post, even after clearing the cmos and removing everything but the cpu and videocard. The new board I got is happily running at 12.5x166 with my 1700+ chip.

I corrupted my BIOS going for 189FSB. Luckily I had just installed a BIOS Savior, so it wasn't a problem.

ive gone over the edge one too many times, but never corrupted the bios yet

one thing ive noticed many ppl do is when they go save and exit, it sometimes takes a while to save it and restart/post....most ppl think its frozen or something and reset....resetting a bios while in midsave = bad = corrupted bios

how did u guys corrupt?
or it just happend?

I always give it a few minutes before trying to restart. The first time I try new settings it always takes a bit of time to post (10-30s). Each time I have tried too high of setting the bios has corrupted. Usually, it just refuses to let me post over 100FSB and I flash the BIOS, once it did nothing at all. I am leaning more and more towards the possibility of having a bad board. I guess when I actually upgrade to a 200FSB processor I will find out. Asus should be decent about RMAing it if it is bad, correct?
