I am an existing customer, but this is my first order between the dates of 9/26/01 and 12/31/01. I guess I qualify, because my order went through with the $25 off $100 (order was around $91 including tax and free shipping). It was not on backorder for zip code 35805.

I sold my Acer 1208a (12x8x32) CD-RW today and hadn't planned on buying another burner this quickly (I have 3 others), but I will be very happy if there is a LiteOn 24x in the box.

Just spoke to a CSR because I screwed up my shipping address and was informed that this item is going to a "STORE ONLY" item and once the remaining drives are shipped from the warehouse system, the only way to get the drive is directly from the B&M OM. Since my order was CBO, he said that I am very unlikely to get it....he did mention that if I did get it and it was past the deadline and I had trouble from the Rebate, give them a call and they would help straighten it out as it would be a manufacturer shipping issue.

Sorry to rain on everyone's parade....mine too

OM does not ship from their stores, instead from a warehousing system located around the country (according to the CSR when I asked if I could simply pick it up from the store).

Lukfilm is going to get all over me for this, but do they go from the purchase date (that would be today for me) or the date that the drive is delivered for the rebate?

Edit: I needed to refresh the thread. It looks like Engineer answered my question. I ordered the drive anyway and it is back ordered for me too (CBO). I was going to cancel the order after finding out that I might not get the rebate, but I think I will just stick it out and see after reading Engineer's post.

Man.. I'm going broke fast! I needed an excuse not to buy this drive and the questionable rebate almost gave me a sigh of relief. I'm sick and I need help.

Yeah, it is certainly a lite-on... I have one! Bought it for 149.99 a month and a half ago! (Unless Cendyne changed up their program.) I hope everyone can get in on this deal. When I first bought it, they had none on the shelf, but the sales person went into the back and found it for me. I'm guessing they were trying to get rid of their overpriced Iomega 16x, before selling this at the time. Oh, and if you have an 8x4x32 Iomega PM me... I have an interesting story for you people.
