I did a search and found nothing about ING direct.. (If i missed it.. .feel free to burn and flame me or spam me)


I recently was looking for a new savings account..and happened to stuble across ING direct..

I use ING Direct for my savings account and I like it quite a bit. The main nice feature being the high interest rate they offer.

Whether you get a referral from this guy or not, it is worth checking out...real handy money transfers too..zip it from your checking to your savings and back and forth at will.

Well, I actually just transferred a good chunk of money. My other bank has been paying me 0.75% percent interest, so 2.2% is a big jump for me. ING has great interest rates compared to others, so they can hold my money for now.

I recently read that the intrest rate dropped from 4% to 3 % to 2.75 % to 2.2%

If you signed up for an account back at 4% does it get locked in at 4% or does it drop??

also..

how long did it take for you to get your two deposits for the account confromation???

Ive been waiting a few days and havent seen anything in my linked account.

I signed up for IGN over a year ago when they were giving $50 and the rate was 3.5% or so. Unfortunately it has gone down but it's still better then my bank for a rainy day fund. I put $100 a month in. It usually takes about 2 days for funds to show up either way (from my checking to IGN or form IGN to my checking).

Actually you can change around the numbers on the serial and the link will still work. If you guys are concerned about the number getting used to much, just change some of the numbers in bold:
