I agree with EatMore Chicken. It sounds like unless you ae able to cancel EXACTLY on day 29 you will be charged 15.99 X 2.

Also I see nothing about a Compusa GC anywhere. Is that part of the deal dead?

although they are offering a $20 credit of postage if you get another person to sign up, so I guess you can find another AT member that has already signed up, then sign up under their referral number, then cash out the extra $$$ and split it

I signed up for this about a year ago and had nothing but hassles. I canceled through their software and called them but i was being charged for months afterwards (on dads credit card and he doesn't know whats going on). Also, the scale did not work properly. Obviously YMMV but they are giving you a lot free and know that most of your will be canceling asap.

Just FYI, the scale that comes with this deal does not have a serial port to interface with the software. YOu need to read the weight and enter it into the software...which anyone can do... Cancellations should be coming up soon...as soon as anybody finds out what is going on, please post to the forum!!

i remembered a friend of mine had to order it from OD altho there's a special link that makes it free.

You have to order the scale via the stamps.com website which links you to OD. The link is provided and when you checkout the $50 credit is applied.

Well I called customer service to clarify about the "FREE" scale. You have to stay on for "30"days for the "free"scale. Therefore it is necessary to go into one paid month. I think that should have been made clear in the offer. How about an asterisk next to the free scale wording to clarify. Sneaky I think, but I'm still going for it. I wanted one of those scales. And with the postage it is still worth $15.99.

thanks, sounds like a good deal, but i am notorious for missing deadlines...i'd probably be charged for 4 mos before i realize i have to cancel...
