$25 GC for test driving VW Passat

Got this in snail mail today.

Basically a card with a space for a VW dealer stamp (for test driving the new Passat).

Obviously haven't tried it yet, so I don't know if dealerships have stacks of these.

Besically the card gives you a choice of $25 gc to vw.com or amazon.com or Pottery Barn or 20$ gc to Starbucks.

Have to test drive before 6/30/01.. get the card stamped and mail it off.. wait "4 to 6 weeks." (one per household, while supplies last)

(I signed up for some promo on vw.com over a year ago.. never got the poster, etc.. haven't heard from them since.. till now)

i think he's implying that if we go to a VW dealership, they may know of this deal and have the cards. its just a heads up on what could be a hot deal, is it not?

Yes it is a heads up, but I highly doubt they have the cards at the dealerships waiting for you to pickup and fill out. The purpose of the card is to get you into the dealership and test drive the car, not just a thank you for stopping by type of card.
