25% off all previewed DVD's @ Blockbuster

I know this deal has happened before. But for those of you that did not get in on it, or were waiting to buy new ones like Oceans Eleven or Zoolander, I was told by a manager here in AZ that they would be starting the 25% off up again at the beginning of next month. Just a heads up for everyone. Hope it helps!!

Do you know if this includes the used games as well? I picked up some Gamecube games last time they had this sale for 21 bucks apiece, and would definitely do so again if they were on sale.

Just a note, my cousin works at a BB that does this and the DVDs are HAMMERED, so check the disc itself if possible before you buy.

Yeah, I second that statement greg. Now when I rent DVD's at schlockbuster I make them remove that yellow security strip and show me the DVD before I leave with them.

I was getting 75% or so unreadable discs. Dunno what people do to them, yeesh.

If I remember correctly, the movies are all guaranteed for life. (I know my Hollywood Video is at least)

I had a bad disk and brought it back like 5 months after buying it. They didn't have any in stock, but the guy called me up a day later and had a new one waiting for me. I was really happy.

I am willing to take the chance of a scratched disk.

I usually ask the checkout person to open up the package for me before I buy it. A few crank fiends will ask: Why? I tell them I can return it now rather than wait until later. I have almost a 100% success rate at about 6 BB's in my area with this method. Saves a whole lot of hassle.

Thanx for the info, but is it only for DVD? How about VHS? From time to time, I found their previewed DVDs are not that cheap.

I don't believe that BB has the same lifetime warranty as Hollywood. I check them while I'm there if I were you. I picked up a three about a week ago when they were buy two get one free.
I think she said a specific warranty period when I was checking out. Don't remember how long it was, but it wasn't lifetime.

if they look good, and they are 25% off, then this is a good deal.

Same here....you always need to check your DVD's if you are buying them "pre-viewed" since some people who rent treat the DVD's like coasters.

75% of bad disks?!?!?! I dont know about your blockbuster but Ive been buying used DVDs from them for a long time (I have about 25 from them) and EVERY single one Ive ever purchased was in like new condition. The only problem Ive ever had over there is one time I tried to buy the Mummy Returns and it turned out to be fullscreen. THOSE BASTARDS!!!!!!! At least i was able to return it no problem.
