That's weird. I just added it to my cart and it comes up as $78.99. Same part number and everything. Hmmm....

Whoops, I figured out what's going on. I'm registered as a reseller with Crucial (indeed I do purchase from them for resale). If I just go to the site and check pricing, I get $78.99. If I go to the site and log in first, I see $69.99 for the same module. Guess this is a hot deal only for resellers.

Is Crucial a really good brand ram, is this better than Mushkin, Samsung, Kingston, etc.? What's the difference between non-parity and ECC ram?

Yes, Crucial is high quality RAM. If you order RAM for your Dell 4550 from Dell they send you Crucial. RAM prices are beginning to edge up so now is probably a good time to buy. ECC RAM is for error checking. You only need this for servers or important workstations where you absolutely cannot afford to lose any bits. You don't want ECC for normal home PCs.

Really the ram that came with my dell is Crucial? So if I do get a piece of 512, and add it to my orginal 128 piece, it will match and run perfectly fine? Is this a really hot price, I would like somone to confirm this before I hit the summit button. How come my Part No. is CT289645 and not CT6464Z265 like everyone else? Thanks.
