Outpost have them for $169.000 after rebate anywhere else cheaper ? Just note that Outpost sold me a drive ][200 gigs] which the rebate was no valid 8=( about 3 weeks ago..

I don't recall there being a better deal currently than the outpost.com one.

I got my WD 250 and 200 GB drives from them, to back up my music jukebox. No problem with the order or with the 2 WD rebates (though rebates took 2-3 months).

Outpost's rating is higher than the ratings for Best Buy, Buy.com, Circuit City and Sears. Do you shop at any of those stores?

MontyBurns, I shop at BestBuy but only carry out and I don't order anything online from those others. Right now I only have 29 online places that I will order from based on their ratings, but I've only ever ordered stuff from 4 of them in the past and one is a pickup/willcall in Tampa anyway. If the reseller rating goes up in the future, then Outpost could make it an even 30.

I've used outpost a number of times. Always treated me well. Only problem I ever had was a rebate that I hadn't received on a WD hard drive I purchased there. Luckily, one phone call took care of that, and I had my check within a week.

As a matter of fact, I was very impressed with some of their "free next day delivery" promotions a couple years ago. I'd place an order at 9:00pm, and the order was at my door via airborne express by 10:00am the next morning!

I agree. Fry's on the otherhand, one rolls the dice with them.
But the prices tend to justify the hassles usually.
