250 MB Iomega USB Zip Drive for $50 at OM

Office Max has these on clearance for $50. My local Office Max only had one. It is not advertised and I am not sure if this is nation wide. This seemed odd because the 100 MB Iomega USB Zip Drive was on clearance for $79.99. Good luck.

No, it's not the USB powered ones and the sale is nationwide. Most OM have cleared them out already when they were going for $100. Don't foget that OM matches competitor coupons as well. I picked up all 8 at my local OM and most have already sold on eBay. I paid about $42 each with tax after coupon.

My Staples (Linconton, NC) still had the USB 250 Zip for $50 as well. Buy three and use the $30 off $150 for a total of $40 each.

EDIT: I meant Staples, in addition to OM, also had the USB version for $50.

I got mine at Office Max, but it appears EricB got one at Staples as well. I wouldn't call them to make sure unless you want to alert the employees to the deal and they buy all the remaining stock. (wouldn't you if you worked there?)

The region that includes Alaska, Hawaii and Washington had one available for mail order after I got through with them tonight around 7:00. The only way to get it is to call the catelog number, verify the price with a store, and use the SKU, which is 142-580-64. Then order something for a dollar and get free shipping. I could not get any OfficeMax to take a competitor's coupon, though Office Depot did, which is why I sit now in a $14 office chair.

hehe, i'd say cdr by far! the cost of the zip media already makes it more costly than a cdr and it can only hold so much.

That is exactly what I was going to say but then I saw that he wrote CDRW and not CDR. I find using CDRW to be a pain, so i usually use zip250 or CDR.

My local OM store (Marion, Ohio) was out of stock but the salesman was good enough to check their inventory system and found three in one of the Dayton, Ohio stores. He called to verify it was available and is going to do a transfer and I should have it in several days. Their system showed a lot of units left. I would suggest this, if your local OM is out of stock.
