I have found it difficult to get places to refund or cover shipping, even when it was a blatant mistake on their part. They seem to think that they won't make any money if they do it. I think I shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes. I've managed to get a couple places to comply with my request for refund of shipping, but not many.

Hi folks, so far no one has identified the "triangle logo" brand of chips My board has been running for 48 hours very hard without any problems... Asus P3V4X with Intel P3 700E @ 933 (133Mhz FSB). I'm running just CAS3, they wouldn't go CAS2 on my system. I'm happy.

Looks like still $65. So you should be able to get two (512MB) shipped for $140.50; damn good deal if you have the right motherboard.

I updated the page with the Photos of Triangle Brand to show the info zzzzz posted from his motherboard.

I returned both these sticks and bought (2) 256mb Crucial pc133 cas2 sticks at the cheap price of $112 each. A much better investment in the long run!

well not the same but oh well. Instead of this deal i went for mushkin valueram. Just got em today, 7.5ns , nice black tidy pcbs, with infineon memory 49 bux for 128mb pc 133. site says cas 3, but they seem to run fine at cas 2 Quality is worth the money

i almost bought a couple sticks of this memory, but decided to go with crucial. With memory prices low now (dropping more?) i've decided to stick with buying the really good brand memory. Yes, it may be a little bit more, but definitely worth it to avoid headaches with all this cheaper (price and manufacture) memory around that you don't know if it'll work when you get it...vroom

I received three sticks of the Triangle brand RAM.
What are people's experiences with this RAM? In general,
for a quick statement, would you say this is good? Yes/No?

I personally tried out each stick at PC-133, Cas 3, Turbo settings,
with 3DMark2000 and a short loop of about 5 timedemos in intensive Q3.
Each stick ran fine, but I'm just wondering. My friend got lucky
as usual and got the Syncmax... it was running fine at around 143mhz Cas3.
^
So, /_\ Whaddya think?

augustus,

generally the less you want to crash, the more of a good idea it is to get decent ram good chips+good pcb design

Zucchini: Way to not answer my question.

I asked people's experiences with the Triangle brand ram, because that is what I ended up receiving for RAM for a server. For my main system, I use Mushkin. Please keep your obvious statements to yourself, and contribute if and only if you can tell me what other people's experiences with the Triangle Brand RAM have been.

doood i ordered mine over 10 days ago, it is supposed to come on tuesday, for anyone on the west coast ordering this stuff you are better off going with something other than ground service, otherwise it will take > 1 week to ship. if thats not a problem for you then nevermind, but its nice to recieve a product within a few days of ordering it.

Anybody know how long it usually takes for them to ship or how long it takes them to arrive? I just ordered two of these sticks today (01/28) Are they good with processing orders? Does anyone know what state they ship from? Greatly appreciated, thanks

motherboard monitor
i find that software complete useless
it say some motherboard especially asus, sheild the Dimm SPD, making it reading impossible.
which mean, it's only getting information off SPD, not really doing any testing

kxy: if your mobo is a bx board then the chances of it being compatable are pretty slim i think, im not postive tho, but i think bx board owners are sol

fitzhue: i ordered mine 10 days ago, they took like 3 or 4 days to process it, and they ship it ground for the 9.99 price. time it takes to get to you all depends on where you live.

thx for the answer kw3i

looks like I have to go with crucial then. One question, under the crucial, after I entered my mobo info, Abit Bm6, and the only pc133 ram available are the 128mb, if I want to go with 256mb, there were only pc100 available, does it mean my mobo doesn't suppports it? It just doesn't make sense. Too bad today is Sunday, else I will give crucial tech support a ring.

kxy,

Don't think BX boards officially support the pc133 standard. So it doesn't really matter anyway unless you plan on overclocking to 133 and have peripherals that can stand it.

Thx golem

i talked to the techie on crucial today, he said the system(the one where you first chose a manfacturer then model is quite outdated), the RAM should work fine with my mobo. He also gave me the product id for 256MB CAS2 pc133 non-parity: CT32M64S4D7E.
