I'm guessing if you can afford to be an early adapter of a mb with the kt133a chipset (think their going for around $170), you probably will be willing to shell out a little more for higher quality ram.

Well....received my memory today and both chips were DOA. Tried reseating them many times, trying one at a time, etc. Why does this not surprise me?

Got this crap ram on 12Jan01. Finally got it to run stable today. I have a A7V, Duron 650 o/c to 927. Figured out that you can't run the FSB pass 100mhz or set the ram at PC133. So now it's running at 900mhz =(. Hope this helps ppl with stability on A7Vs.

ok scratch that idea...it just crashed. I give up!

Keep posting. I'm glad I read these last few posts. This was first on my buy list for this friday, not to mention my other friends.

We were all going to cash in, but if you have DOA sticks then I'm not even trying. You better be telling the truth you Intel Lova. J/K

This company *SUCKS*. First off, I'm already put off by the mixed reviews on this memory so I'd rather save myself the $80 and hassle in case it DOES suck for me. If there were only one or two complaints then I wouldn't worry but since roughly half of the people here are not satisifed, I cancelled my order.

And for those of you who are waiting for your RAM, you'd be surprised to know that they charge your credit card IMMEDIATELY, not before it ships. I found this out when I spoke to a CSR.

I'd stay away from this garbage if I were you.

I'm planning on returning mine and buying RAM elsewhere. Was wary when the sticks showed up looking like they had already been in a machine so I wasnt too surprised they didnt work. When I actually looked at the envelope they shipped in it looked like it had been run over Not that that part is their fault but in general its been a bad experience.

Received my memory, plugged in to A7V, worked. It's installed with 1 stick of Mushkin 128Mb PC100 and 1 stick of Kingston 128Mb PC100 value ram. Booted up fine. Then for s&g I upped the ram to 133MHz and it's still running fine. Got lucky I guess...

Mine are on the way, but after the last couple of posts I am starting to get a little worried.. But you have to admit, if it works - and the ram runs, then 512 megs for under $150 is very very hard to beat.

Yeah...$150 is incredible. I am not complaining at all....just sharing my experience with UpgradePlanet. At prices like that it was a roll of the dice. Had it worked great. It didn't and thats also fine. I'll get my money back so nothing lost except the cost of shipping the ram back to them. I ended up just going for broke and ordered a 256mb stick from crucial.com. They have a 15% off thing right now (from bensbargains.net) so the cas2 mem I bought ended up being $144 shipped (free 2nd day ups but you have to pay sales tax). So...I come out with half the ram for the same price but then again its twice as much ram as I have right now (not to mention the fact that its top quality).

OK guys, just got home today from vacation and found the ram waiting to be installed...popped it in the KT7-Raid and away I went....Im running now at 133 Mhz Cas2 w/ no prob...the BIOS actually detected it at these settings!!
Any how, mine arent marked Syncmax but they have the letters 'LG' (i think) stamped on them...anyhow cant complain at all for $80 this deal is smoking (if you get ones that work that is... )

Once again, im just askin a question here. Anyone using this ram with a KT7"A"-Raid board successfully. Im lookin to purchase a KT7a-raid board since the KT7 seems to be old news. By the way the price is now $68 per stick.

Got my two sticks today and they're in and running. So far no problems. The only dwonside is the shipping. They come shipped in a bubble-padded mailer. A little risky I'd say. Also, I paid $10.50 for shipping and this mailer costs no more than a couple bucks to ship. So even tho I bought at $70 a stick the actual cost was somewhere around $75. Can't complain tho, 512Mb for $150 is SCHWEEET!

Mine were labelled Speedy, guess it was the luck of the draw. Hearing of BigDave's experiences I'm not going to wait to try it in my KT7A-Raid when it comes (money back will expire by then). I'm RMA-ing it today. So words to the wise for those who still might take the up on this deal. If you get a Speedy stick, RMA it immediately!! (for KT7 people)

Damn you lucky bastards who got LG, and Syncmax. I've ordered a Micron replacement anyhoo, 20 bucks is a small price to pay for peace of mind

I ordered saturday night and got an email that they were processing Sunday. Do they send tracking info?

I have an Asus P3V4X that I intend to put these in. So far everyone with that board has reported good results. Anyone counter this?

I recieved mine today. It's the "speedy" brand though. It's working alright at pc100 cas2, but I haven't tested it any higher.

Edit: forgot to mention... I think UPS stepped on, or ran over my packaging. The envelope had a large black mark on it, and the ram seemed to be slightly curved.

OK, UPS sent me shipment confirmation today... says that my order I palaced Saturday night is going out today (Thursday evening). I emailed UP to see if they are going to adjust me for the newer $66 price instead of the 70 they said on Saturday. Only seems fair that I should be charged the price it is on the day they ship!

Edit, just checked... price BACK UP to $72

Sure wish the title of this thread were changed. "Confirmed to run at cas2". That's only true apparently (in most cases), if the FSB is set lower than the Ram Mhz speed 133Mhz.

I personally would not buy my PC133 to run at FSB130 cas2. It either runs at Cas3 at its rated speed 133Mhz or not. It does not seem to me that this is the case. Although I think I saw in all this mess someONE actually thinks they may have the ram running at 133Mhz cas 2. Most ANY ram will run CAS2 when underclocked.... or run lower than its intended speed (133MHz in this case).

JMO. It keeps drawing me back into the thread to find dissapointment. Just title it for what it is. (VERY mediocre) "256 MB PC133 CAS3 for $66.00".

Does cas2/3 really matter? It is the amount of cycles needed to start the ram or whatever. Once the ram is up to speed, it doesn't matter. I don't know how much time it really does save, but it can't be THAT much.
