Yeah, really. MORE TESTIMONIALS! And also... I notice a lot of people waiting a long time to get it. Was that possible because of a shortage at the time, or the Christmas season? If I ordered today, is it likely that I would get it soon?

I'm confused. Why would the RAM controller chipset matter? I'm running an ABIT BE6-II and would love this RAM. I'm overclocking a bit, but not an unusual amount. Why wouldn't this work with the BX chipset in the ABIT mo-bo?

It has to do with channels and the way the chips are configured. Basically, how many chips times how many MB, and stuff like that. Only the newer chipsets support the 32X4, as I understand it. Sorry. I've heard that NO Intel chipsets support that kind of configuration.

BTW, HEADS-UP.... It's no longer Limit 1. It doesn't say it anywehre in the item description. The price is now at 73, but hey, at least you can get more than one.

Hey, can any of you tell me if this stick will work in conjuction with a mushkin rev 2 128 mb stick in a kt7-raid?? I don't care if it doesn't run at cas 2 or turbo. 384mb is NOTHING to sneeze at....especially when it would only cost $80 bucks!

Well guys it's installed.

One of the easiest and sweetest upgrades we'll ever make.

FYI: I'm running it on an Asus P3V4X mobo, and o/c a p3 650 to 807 (fsb 124, keeping a ratio with the ram at 1:1). Haven't yet played around with the CAS settings in the bios yet, but that'll happen on the next reboot

What a nice deal

Kick ass. I ordered 2. The limit 1 is gone, like I said. If the deal sticks around for a while longer, I may order a few more...

let's remmber that in the future, when we upgrade the mobos, that we'll have to look for compatiable chipsets to continue to get 256 mb out of this ram...

something to think about

I just tested this ram in both of my systems. on e is an Asus p3v4x with a pIII 600 running at 800@133. It ran fine @ CAS3 but would not boot @ CAS2. The other system is an epox 7kxa(kx133) with an athlon 650 running at 750@115. This ran at CAS2 but was not completely stable. Bringing it down to CAS3 straightened that out. Overall not bad performance for the price. Works good for my girlfriends system.

One other thing to note was the packaging. Is suck. It was in an antistatic bag but it was sent in a bubble wrap envelope. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Could've very easily been snapped in two. I sent a nice email to their cust serv dept about the subpar packaging and their response was this-
"Our shipments rarely become damaged when shipping UPS. The few times they do become damaged, UPS pays for a replacement product.

Thanks,
Jules
Customer Service Dept."
Not the kind of answer I wanted to hear. Why not spend a little more on packaging and cause us consumers a little less headaches on returns.

I didn't have a problem at all with the packaging.

And by the by, they (UPS) would have paid for it anyway. Not a big concern really

I didn't see what the "grade" of the memory was. Does anyone know if this has a 1yr or lifetime warranty?
Also, are they shipping any faster now that the holiday is over.

I think it's one year. But that shouldn't be a problem. How many of us ever returned memory because it became defective ??

I just picked up one.
It is now up to $75.
$85 for 256MB. Great deal. Thanks.
I remember paying over $150 for 1MB for my 286.
Maybe some day they will have free memory in cereal boxes.

The point I am trying to make is that they could save consumers the headache of having to return the product and wait another week or two if it is damaged. A little better packaging would go a long way. How many Mushkin sticks do you think get damaged. I would say VERY few.

I put this memory in my ABIT KT7-Raid, and I cannot get it to run stable... Sometimes the computer won't even boot. When it does boot, it will freeze up within five minutes.

I know some people here bought it for their KT7 mobos. Can you give me your exact BIOS settings that you're using for this RAM?

Thanks!

I'm curious about that too. I've ordered a stick of this intending to build a Duron system with a KT7-RAID, but I won't mind falling back to an A7V just to get this ram going, it'll be huge boon if this can be made- *ahem* configured to work with the KT7. Bknight and SuperFreaky are the only ones that seem to have it working so far, if you guys are reading, can you post your experiences in getting it going?

For everyone that's gotten good stable results i.e. your setup is working fine after a few days, not just the initial POST and 24 hrs, can you please post your mobo make & model?

Hey guys, I'm a little confused on wether or not this will work on the KT7 RAID. I really want to grab a stick of this, but if it's not going to work with my KT7, I'd rather not waste the money. Any more feedback?

People crack me up sometimes. 256mb cas3 dimms for ~$75 and some people make it sound like its totally mediocre because its rated cas3. Heres a clue...you cant get cas2 memory anywhere for $75. Some folks are getting this ram to run that fast...some arent. I'll take the chance of running it at cas3 and get 512mb for $150. YMMV.

I'm with you channelX

512MB means no Swap file.... So what good is 128 or 256 Cas 2 if its using the swap file?

Hehehe if I get cas2 then awesome, if not then the diff is only what 5% between teh 2?

The jump from PC100 to PC133 will make a MUCH larger difference!!

Btw guys....Even if you have to slow the memory setting down, you still will have LOTS of memory for the little price you pay. Also, there are programs such as ramdisk98/NT that can allocate something like 192mb of system memory as a virtual drive. If you do this, you can have a clean temporary swap file after bootup. This performance IS NOTICEABLE, whereas increasing memory performance generally cannot be distinguished. I am going to try my luck and buy it for my kt7 raid. If I have to slow the memory down completely for it too work, as long as I get 256mb
