I know nothing about this new(?) USA based company, but they are going to be offering 27" 120hz S-IPS 1440p in October I believe. September for the 60hz models. Apparently they're supposed to be higher grade panels than the Korean casinos offer. Literally "Pixel Perfect" A grade LG.

Don't know if/how they're connected to any those Korean ebay ones. But at least they're in the US so all communication and problem solving would be much easier.
However, no price announced but pics are there. Input options are much better than the Korean models. I think those Catleaps and such have limited connectivity options, such as no consoles, media players, etc. Just general PC GPUs if I'm not mistaken. I see a lot of posts about models not working on anything besides certain PC settings.
Some people at overclock.net have them on watch so I've got them bookmarked and waiting for reviews on the October 120hz releases. Hopefully competitive pricing.
I'm hoping the major manufacturers are noticing how much demand there is for these cheaper monitors and the gambling people are willing to do in order to save money on hi-res IPS monitors. Maybe this ebay craze will turn out to have been the trigger for a steady price war that involves the major brands that we know will have better bezels, stands, and truly be "pixel perfect." No gambling required.
Would be nice to see offerings within a year in the $500 range or even less by Dell, Samsung, HP, Asus, whichever you prefer. I'd love super thin models finally arrive like we see everywhere except 1440p and up. Apple does it. Not impossible. Leave out the speakers. Don't know why those are still crammed into monitors. Who uses them? If absolutely necessary, make thin optional stick on speakers that plug into a jack on the back of the monitor.
Anyway, overall it does look like a excruciatingly slow but steady increase in attention to hi-res monitors is happening and prices are being positively affected.
