59.99 - 5.00 Instant Rebate - 25.00 Mail-In Rebate - $20 coupon = 9.99

Update: Get paid for the DDR memory now! There's a new rebate $65 for the PNY memory from 8/28 --- You shold be able find it on their website.

So, even You can't get old $25 Mail-in rebate and OD $20 coupon. Just let them pricematch the price on the ad - you GET PAID !!!

You have to act before Sunday to get deal!

It's YMMW, best deal you can get is "GET PAID $50" for the samsung PNY memory - I can run those at 333.

Good luck.

How and where do we find this deal?
Got an url?
Is it at the B&Ms?
Is it local?

How does this differ from the other threads where people can't, suddenly, find the OD deal posted any more?

Please advise.

The DDR is a mis-print. The rebates and instant savings apply only to the SDRAM. However, some in the other threads abut this deal have reported some B&Ms giving them the DDR for $29.99 since it is a misprint, but this a YMMV situation and according to corporate all stores have been notified about the pricing error and told not to honor it.

Well, I'm sure the deal works for SDRAM.

What several of us are scourging around for is the <<DDR>>, which apparently was a misprint and not available.

How you got it, I can't believe this, there is no rebate for DDR, It is misprint, I went to OD day before yesterday, and the manager could'nt find the rebate nieth he would give me the misprint price, the rebate on the OD site is for the SDRAM , can someone post the info in finding the rebate ( if there is any ).
Thanks!

YMMV is true. A buddy of mine and I have been able to buy 3 sticks each from various OD locations for $9.99 each plus tax without any problems whatsoever. However, I went to an OD in Atlanta today and tried to buy 3 more but two assistant managers and one manager wouldn't honor the deal since there is now the $65 mail-in rebate. I argued the point that I would now have to outlay more money initially than I hadn't anticipated. The manager kept trying to point out that the ad was a misprint and that in the end, I'd still be paying the same $9.99 after-coupon, advertised price. I responded basically by telling him that I didn't think that it was fair to make customers pay more upfront than what was advertised and that it was their mistake not mine because I didn't print the ad.

Eventually they agreed to sell 1 stick to me for $29.99 but wouldn't allow me to use the $20/$50 coupon because it was now less than $50. We went round and round until finally, I asked for the number to corporate so I could resolve it with them. At that point, the manager was even more frustrated than I was and decided to just GIVE it to me for free. He said that they would "write it off". I insisted that I would pay $9.99 because that is what was advertised but he wouldn't take it. I actually kinda felt bad about the situation because I wasn't trying to intimidate him....well, maybe just a little. I really just wanted him to understand that I felt that they should honor the deal as advertised. So in the end, my 4th stick was free which is great but it left me feeling just a bit guilty.

I don't see this $65 rebate at all... but if it's there, this could be a really good deal. Link?

this just keeps getting better. The other nite (28th) I called OD to see if they had the DDR PNY ram in stock. I asked for the computer guy. He said yes and I asked him to confirm that it was at the ad price. He said sure. I asked him to hold it for me as I was about an hour drive away. I then sat down, had dinner with my family, had a smoke and drove 5 minutes to OD.

Wife and I went to get the ram (with the $20 off $50 coupon). I fully expected the rebate to be an issue but was prepared to pay the $59-$5-$20 if the ram chips were samsung. I had computer guy hand it to me, thanked him for holding it far me while I drove for an hour, walked to the checkout line and let the young lady in the tight pants there check me out. As she was ringing me up I showed her both the ad I had brought and the $20 of $50 coupon. When she rang it ($38.??)up no rebate printed so I placed this puzzled look on my face. She said hang on and she would print one out for me off of the internet. She printed out the rebate and I asked her if I could verify the UPC Codes match since I had had that problem before. We check and (horrors) the UPC for the DDR was not on the rebate. The young lady (in the tight pants) paged Computer Guy and he came up and pondered for about 30 seconds. By now, I my puzled look had turned to disappointment. Computer Guy said, give him a $25 credit. End result - instant $13.?? samsung ram.

Now I find theres a $65 rebate and I just checked my recipt and guess what, I bought it on 8/28. So I guess they paid me $51.?? for the ram.

Now thats an Anandtech HOT DEAL!!!!

I just ordered this deal through officedepot.com. The rebate is listed under PNY, not PNY Technology or PNY Technologies. Though I couldn't pick mine up locally (due to stock on hand), I did order it online by clicking on the order by item# on the home page. Order SKU# 442827 and get it delivered for $69.54 after tax - $65 = $4.54. Not bad in my opinion.

I just tried this. I'm from CA, westcoast region. I think all the OD's in CA have it for $99.99.

The 1st OD I went to had a $99.99 yellow price tag as well as the $99.99 in their system. So I skipped that and went to another OD.

The 2nd OD I went had a shelf tag of $64.99. I went up to the register, the ram rung up as $99.99. I tried to PM it with another OD's ad for $59.99 - $5.00 instant rebate as advertised in the east coast region. But they wouldn't let me. So they just honored the $64.99 price tag. I used the $20 coupon and so that put me up at $44.99 + tax. $44.99 - $65.00 rebate = -$20.00. So I get paid $20 to keep it. And if I ebay it, I'll probably get $50-$60 so I make about $70-$80 - tax Didn't get as lucky as those people who walked out with the $30 price tag but I can't complain
