wow, this is HOT, considering Crucial has been raising the price everyday now. It's over $50, are you kidding me!!! So how safe and reliable is this site? Anyone?
I did a little research on pricewatch.com and found that Micron DDR memory usually carries a lifetime warranty. IMHO, you are betting roughly $25 per stick ($15 lower price & $10 shipping) to get more then one year out of product.
Is this stick a legit Micron memory module or not?
Well it says its a Micron stick. If its a Micron stick with Micron chips and someone else's board then there might not be a lifetime warranty. If its Micron chips and a Micron board then it should carry the same lifetime warranty that other Micron sticks offer.
no warranty from Micron even it's a Micron made module,
you've to deal with the reseller for warranty issue,
only the one sold thru Crucial with additional CT sticker gets lifetime warranty from Crucial.
teraeric I see the not so fine print hidden in the shipping info page. I sent in an order and it rang up $0.0 shipping for ground residential. I don't think the shipping info is current. Time will tell. Might be worth a phone call tomorrow.
They are out of stock, but may ship Monday. The free shipping is a mistake but they will honor the price because it is their mistake. Soon the site will be corrected and shipping will be $11 for 1st and $3 for additional sticks. Seemed like a friendly place...returned my phone call promptly.
